Carthage, NC power grid attack

it can’t most likely be both, can it?

so which is it? please support your work with, for example, a single fact or shred of evidence.

atomwaffle has been arrested numerous times for planning to attack the us power grid and is a major international neo nazi terror group linked to many murders terror attacks and utter evil. The far right are also anti vaccine.

Neo nazis pose a massive danger to everyone. They are in the millitary and everywhere.

Both of these attacks were within 40 miles of millitary bases so this could be a US atomwaffle member who is serving in the US army. The FBI will hunt the bastards down.

if something "could be" then, by definition, it also "could not be".

none of what you wrote is evidence they were responsible.

Reminded me a bit of this incident from my homestate, re: shooting infrastructure

iirc when asked why he did that, he said "to see if I could".

It's like yeah, CAN you do that? yeah....SHOULD you do that? Noooooooo
That’s so bad for the environment! :(

but I fail to see how such an action is beneficial in any way for a terrorist group or movement.
i don't think these idiots were thinking too far outside the box, they are just dumb zealots.

it ain't like in the movies where the terrorists are all brilliant computer programmers and shit... pretty sure terrorists in real life are mostly stupid assholes.

I heard about this today on the radio. They interviewed the police chief and someone else involved, but I didn't catch her role. Apparently in a part of my state, not too close to me, someone or some people went into first one power station hub, then another, and used some guns to destroy large amounts of equipment to the extent that hundreds of thousands are without power at the start on winter and will likely not have power fully restored for months. This is because they damaged or destroyed about $17 million worth of equipment, and until they can purchase and transport in and reinstall and repair everything, there is simply no way to get power to these people. Whoever did the deed appeared to know what they were doing and inflicted massive structural damage to vital equipment to the operation of the electric grid.

They have not arrested anyone or implicated anyone yet, but there is a far right religious podcast (I think podcast, or else radio station/show) that has called these attacks "god's will" and said that "sometimes god uses people to work in mysterious ways". It was being claimed to be God's punishment against the county because they decided to host a drag show. In the podcast/program in question, the news was delivered in a gloating manner, clearly the host was pleased with the action. Whether they had any involvement, or were just a motivating force for the perpetrator(s), remains to be seen. Though we don't know what happened yet, it seems pretty clear to me that this is an act of domestic terrorism, that is religiously-motivated. Kinda like in A Handmaid's Tale leading up to Gilead's taking over of the country. Though I will emphasize that I do not have enough information to make that claim for sure. But it sure seems that way.

Obviously a bit of hyperbole, but it scares me to know that (a) the power grid is so vulnerable (and not just power but water, too), and (b) that there are people so radicalized that they are willing to leave so many people without power at a time of the year when it gets below freezing.
What an absolute load of bullshit. Really feeling for those people right now.
