Career advice - "Do What You Love and You'll Never Work a Day"

I am unemployed as of Friday last week. I need to phone the giro cunts but I really can't be fucked.

Did you get the pay out, or does that come later?

I find it pretty funny that all these call centers are based in Scotland because the rest of the UK thinks you're friendly, but on the other end of the line could be spade or PTCH lol...

When i ring a call centre I end up talking to some dude in lndia. Dont know how friendly they are cause l usually cant understand what their on about

Had a meeting today with some woman who works for a local charity.

They are keen to help me out with regards to finding a career.
They even said I can apply for a grant to buy a pushbike. Sweet.

If all goes to plan, I'll become a student and be going to college this September.

Sorry if having a real talent offends you, son. ;) I know it's early days, but I've had a load of happy customers, and advertising is all that's stopping me - but, that means signing off.... I need to do it soon.

Everyone has to be good at something Treacle, good to see using a screwdriver is your talent. ;)

The advertising has nothing to do with it, you are technically still a benefit fraud (which I don't have a problem with, I'm just pointing out you should be careful) because you're self employed, making money AND claiming benefits.

I've made them aware that I'm setting up my own business, and they've said they'll top me up. I'm pretty much ready to go ahead with that arrangement, and it does concern me that I've not done it yet. I take it there's some difference in what would happen, say; if I was earning a grand a week and claiming, and the unsteady, small amounts - which I am getting. They must distinguish between someone who is aiming to be self sufficient, and someone who is raping the system. I'd hope...

I doubt they do mate. They seem to want to get as many people as they possibly can off benefits. You'd be mad to be honest with them and stop claiming JSA when your business is making less than £300 a month but at the same time it's risky if you get caught.

Oh, I'm sure they'd kick me off JSA. I meant I doubt I'd go to prison, or anything - but a proper scammer would. I know, this is my predicament...
