i dont know what to believe

Obviously carbs spike insulin (which is highly anabolic and transfers protein into the muscles) which in turn blunts growth hormone (which makes you grow)

so im kind of confused on whether to eat carbs before bed.

My goal is to turn into a massive beast. So im not really worried about abit of excess body fat but dont want to look like a fat, ugly pig.

Low gi carbs ftw. I usually mix about 3 scoops of whey protein with milk and chug right before I sleep. Keeps cortisol levels at bay longer than mixing with water, seems to slow down the absorption rate. You could always buy casein protein.

^ Lactose is a disaccharide, but it's still certainly a high GI carb. If your whey has a significant amount of carbs in it it's probably also simple carbs. Casein in the milk still makes it worth doing IMO.

If you're looking to get huge without getting fat bighooter, stuff yourself straight until bed with relatively clean food. (Considering you're on a cycle from what I understand, what I am saying is probably pretty basic.)

I don't eat carbs from 4 hours before sleep when trying to stay really lean, but they get eaten in decent amounts at night when I'm bulking.

Bulking I dont really worry but when I'm trying to cut I'll ensure I dont eat any carbs for 2-4 hours before bed

lol I don't know about ugly, but you're far from being fat...so i wouldn't worry about that bhoot. You could afford to gain a little fat so cram all the carbs in your piehole that you can. Complex carbs.

I wouldn't eat carbs before bed with the intention of spiking insulin. Insulin sensitivity is lowest at night and highest in the morning so it's not going to work. As mentioned already a good idea would be to eat a slow release protein like caesin before bed.

If you want to be lean but not bulk buff then vegetables as a carb are okay. I would pack a quarter bag of carrotts and make into juice, then one hour of lifting. If you wana bulk then it's best to go with a protein powder, be aware of caffeine or any additives thay may keep you awake after your workout or mini meal.

I don't eat carbs before bed if I am on Trenabolone Ace. It makes the night sweats all the worse.

You should certainly try it, carbs, well low GI carbs help with leptin secretion. a lot of BB do eat low go carbs at night, when leptin is released, one of the things it does is help with fat burning to keep it short and simple.

I read recently that the "not eating before bed" thing to lose weight is a myth - the only way it will really help you lose weight is if it results in a person eating less overall. In other words it is not when you eat, but what you eat and how much of it. This is from a "Dunn Nutrition Centre in Cambridge" study, Google "top 10 diet myths." I don't know how this would relate to getting buff though.

It relates a lot. Diet is key to getting big and to getting shredded, be it on steroids or off steroids.
