This is a an old story I'm sure most of you know. I got into heroin a long time ago. I quit. Then last year I had a head injury and was given vics. That FEELING drove me to go find heroin and it didnt take long. Well long story short it destroyed me. Lost jobs went to jail for a long time, girlfirend, family, cars, license and OD'd 3 times. Once I was dead for a while and stuck in the ICU for a week with narcon drip.

Anyway that was then what scares me now is I have two teeth that are rotten out from abuse to my body and he gave me vics and he'll give me all I want and I just took two of them and a six pack of beer.

Whats the best thing to do because I dont want to go back but I'm scared. Not trying to be a drama queen but surely some of you guys have come into this position where you HAD to take it but didn't want to not out of addiction but because of real need for pain. It is different, isnt it? Its a situation I am not sure how to deal with. Cause its gonna good and I know its gonna to trip somthing in my brain.

Thanks.

Try suboxone if you fear addiction and don't use any painkillers to treat your pain.

Your case is the best example there is to why I discourage the recreational use of painkillers. Even when you beat your addiction, if at some point in your life you'll be in pain, you won't be able to relieve your pain unless you want to go back down the road and fall into addiction again -.-

People are gona shoot at me again for saying this but this is true and people should know it.

I think this will do better in the dark side so let's try it over there.

In theory your right but IT HURTS BAD. Which is the lesser of two evils? Its hard to play your cards this way when you know better but your not in withdrawl you just really hurt.
I was hoping for a miracle I guess. I guess I have thing on my side I've been through it before.

Nobody should shoot you I just needed to hear the truth. Thanks.

My bet will be COX-2 inhibitors. I would try Celebrex but don't take it a lot, it has a heart risk associated with it. Just tell your doctor you can't take opioids, idk...Celebrex, Mobic, Naprosyn, Voltaren etc.

You familiar with COX-1 COX-2?

One other option is to give your pain meds to someone who you totally trust and that is responsible. Let this person hand you the meds as prescribed only when you are hurting. I have been in your exact shoes and its really tough. Believe me when I say other meds, other than narcotics do work for dental pain. It's no fun but you can get through it. It's certainly better than repeating the cycle again. Good luck man-Jaz

The chemical reaction in the brain is so strong that it will trigger a craving beyond his control. It's like meeting your best friend in the street after you haven't seen him for years...it's so emotionally powerful...it really fucks you up. The fact that his friend holds the medicine won't change a thing...he'll be heading to the nearest dealer buying heroin.
Why suffer the craving and risk giving in when you can obtain full pain relief with alternative medicine. Celebrex is quite strong, about 2ce stronger than tylenol and a bit less strong than codeine. It can do the job but like I said, not more than on 5 occasions a year. It's hard on the heart.

Isn't there any Naproxen freely available in your country?
It was prescribed earlier for pain relief after dental surgery, but is for sale in most pharmacies now.
Try 2 tablets of those to start with, and take 3-4 every day, your toothache will be gone.
Surely dope will help, but only for some time...
