Hi all,

So I wanted to discuss the plethora of new cannabinoids now being circulated. I guess the first topic should be how do we determine what is and is not a cannabinoid. Secondly, how will these chemicals break down in the body. Thirdly in what ways are they similar and different in both effect and in detection.

The main ones I have heard of are AM-2201, AM-1221, AM-694, JWH-5C, JWH-203, ZX-1, and E-6. Obviously there are the old standards JWH-018 and JWH-073 but it appears these will be removed from the market very soon.

Does anyone know the atomic structure, or anything else about JWH-5C? It just showed up on one of the sites I buy from but they don't have a picture of it. Google also yielded no results.

JWH-5C, ZX-1, and E-6 are knockoffs or otherwise misnamed blends of JWH/HU/AM cannabinoids. Usually compound names are in the form of [2 or 3 letter code]-[sequential number].

There are many many other derivatives.

jwh 203 is 2-Chlorophenylacetyl N-pentyl indole, if i'm reading the paper right. Ki 8/7 (CB1/CB2)

The metabolism of two of these compounds, JWH-015/018, was already discussed here; use the search engine (Advanced search in "Advanced Drug Discussion", keywords "JWH-018" + "metabolism"). For all other synthetical cannabinoids of the AAI-family there exists no published metabolism/toxicity data and we need to rely on speculation: For example were there warnings about AM-2201: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=539943; due to the structural similarity apply these concers to AM-694 as well.
Structures:
AM-2201 = 1-(5-fluoro-n-pentyl)-3-(1-naphthoyl)indole
AM-1221 = 1-[(N-methylpiperidin-2-yl)methyl]-2-methyl-3-(naphthalen-1-oyl)-6-nitroindole
AM-694 = 1-(5-fluoropentyl)-3-(2-iodobenzoyl)indole
JWH-203 = 1-pentyl-3-(2-chlorophenylacetyl)indole
Search google for deciphering the systematical names into structures.

JWH-5C, E-6 and ZX-1 are fake names applied by some of the most retarded fucktards ever ... I mean, the people who created the "market" you just spoke of, and their invention has only one single purpose: To lure gullible laypeople into buying and ingesting fake, intentionally mislabeled and usually impure chemicals. This, and to let just another pointless thread pop up a lá "please explain me the currently available RC-menu, I don't know what to buy".
Apropos "mislabeled": Detection can be achieved either by TLC in case you have genuine standards of the compounds in question available (cheapo); or in case you have an IR-spectrometer, preferably with a reference library of said cannabinoids (expensive); or a GC/MS instead (even more expensive if not unpayable for the layman who just wants to get high). If none of these 3 possibilities applies (I didn't dare to mention NMR) then the answer is: You can't know.

Get your facts straight. ZX-1 is NRG-1 AKA- Naphthylpyrovalerone Naphyrone which effects are very similar to Mephedrone but with worse physical symptoms. Despite the negative aspects I found it more euphoric with more auditory and tactile sensation enhancement than 4-MMC(Mephedrone). The doses used at a gathering were 100mg initially and re-dosing (if desired) 40-75mg every 30-55min. Who knows they might even cut it with DMAA which is cheaper, worse, and causes nausea in some individuals.
E-4 or E-6 from my understanding "might" be similar to JWH but when I asked the receptionist they explained roughly that it's not the same as JWH. Who knows if they even know what bunk they're selling? I've had samples of both and it maybe more potent than JWH-5C. Smoking 40mg of E-6 produced a short intense head rush. I wouldn't call it "high" or anything similar to JWH though. When snorting 100mg of E-4 no effects were noticed.
I'd still stay away from shady unknown substances. It could save you from an anxiety/panic attack.

How are we supposed to get our facts straight when vendors are using random sequences of letters and numbers to name things which already have standardised names?

Either way, I've not seen a single positive report for naphyrone so yours may well have been cut.

I have smoked 4-6 mgs of E-4 and noticed effects very similar if not better than the JWH's so not sure if we have the same thing. Mine looks very crystalline and chunky.

A good rule is to avoid anything originating from Eric and anything with a made up E or FX or whatever codename however some materials sold as E4 have been identified as something very similar to JWH 250. ie a memebr of the 1-alkyl 3- acyl indole family of cannabinoid receptor agonists.

what something looks like is totally useless information, because it depends on the processing the material has undergone

their all gonna be banned soon neway

edit: id like to see a jwh that has a legal structure still

they can't ban 'em all lol
legal where? JWH-250 and other phenylacetylindoles are still legal in most of the US and there are yet other structures to be discovered :)
