The Mirror of Truth
Where decisions in life, uneasy and swift come to pass,
and confidence in judgment never seem to last.
A realm of uncertainty creeps in to conceal
all the questions of life you need to reveal.
Continue to search unselfishly and allow yourself to find,
the only righteous resolve in your frail and battered mind.
Pride is a weakness, now wisdom is deceiving,
over-analyzation is inevitable, falsity you were believing.
Pull yourself together, observe reality as from a mirror,
hopes rise, uncertainties fade, and solutions seem clearer.
Left is right, right is left as truth may be,
but the pain that you may have left something right is never easy.
These decisions we must make shape us day by day,
constant struggles force us to question these dues we continue to pay.
We are falling short of the path to happiness we felt in our youth,
as we peer more desperately into the mirror of truth.
