Are the following medications contraindicated with MDMA? I couldn't find them in the sticky.

Lyrica for fibromyalgia and nerve pain.
Seroquel for mood control. Also may be used an an antipyschotic.
Buspar for general anxiety.

From some quick wikipedia browsing:

Lyrica aka Pregabalin - No pharmacokinetic interactions have been demonstrated in vivo. Synergistic with opioids & other downers in lower doses but that's it.

Seroquel aka Quetiapine is a dopamine, serotonin, and adrenergic antagonist, and binds strongly to serotonin receptors.

Buspar aka Buspirone is a serotonin receptor partial agonist.

To be honest, anything that is a serotonin antagonist makes me a bit uneasy. Nothing in wikipedia states that any of these are specifically SSRIs/SSRAs but they might still cause problems. Someone in ADD should be able to shed more light on the matter.

serequel is an anti psychotic Im pretty sure it will dull ur roll since other drugs in the same class are known to do that. By dull I mean it will make it so u notice little or no effects from the roll.

What dose Seroquel are you on?
Anything that 'antagonizes' a receptor blocks its action.

And anti-psychotics cause such a blockade in the central reward pathway - the meso-limbic.
This would surely abolish any euphoria from the roll.

Antagonism of serotonin receptors is not a concern for serotonin syndrome.
This blockade would also diminish 5-HT release and would make SS less likely to occur.
Agonism is a greater concern, but I doubt that busiprone is strong enough to be a concern, esp. if taken with Seroquel.

The real question is why is someone on these medications trying to roll?
It will probably fail, but being on anti-psychotics is pretty serious and may indicate a real psychological problem.
If you can withdraw from the meds first, you really have no business trying to take such a powerful serotonin releaser.

Thank you for the replies everyone. The person in question is a friend of mine. I think she wants to roll because her boyfriend rolls and she wants to 'share' the memorable experience with him. After reading everyone's reply, I think she should refrain from messing with MDMA and just stick to her weed. I was hoping the experience may be emotionally therapeutic for her since her several years with psychologists and medications have failed but it sounds like rolling may do more harm than good. :(

IMO the worst thing is she won't feel it that much with those downer meds. Though someone who needs seroquel probably shouldn't even smoke weed.
