Assembly Bill 390 would legalize the cultivation, possession of marijuana in California. It would be taxed and regulated the same way alcohol is. There seems to be a lot of support for the bill as a way to help with the state budget woes. They expect the new industry could net the state $1.3 billion annually. If you live in California call, write, or email your representative to support this bill. %)

I dont live in california......in texas.......and i have paid over 2grand to the court and probation dept. for a charge of 2 grams? I swear to god if that bill passes i hope it spreads throughtout the U.S.A cuase i feel like they fucked me over.........and i used to love my pot.......

omfg!!! you need to pay 2 grand for having 2 grams on you in texas????? i am soooo happy that didnt happen to me when the cops caught me with an 1/8

that shit happens i got 1 yr probabtion 1350 in fines for less than a g in Ga. This better spread fast as Mr Wonka says, the gov needs to stop spending our money and help make some by opening up this untapped market. I saw on Glen Beck they're proposing $50 an oz tax. Well, seeing as it costs next to nothing to grow it, should still be less than 100 an oz for good nugget.

ya they want to cut current street weed prices in half (so say $60 an eighth will now be $30) and then add a $50 per ounce tax. So that $60 eighth will actually end up costting $36.25 at your local weed store :D

forgot where i read this, i think it was norml.org or something, but they had it out outlined in detail. wish i lived in CA

Co-sign. I've paid a lot of money to court, lawyer, probation for a charge of 7 grams. I hate the intolerance in Texas, but I love the state too much to leave. Lol.

I really hope this passes. If it does I would expect MA to be next. Its already been decriminalized so that up to an ounce is only a $100 fine and nothing on your record, as long as you're over 21. Its about damn time. How many people have died from a pot overdose? How many have died from an alcohol OD? That right there should be enough to convince people, unfortunately its not. Thanks DEA.

Ah man. Look guys, I'm a patient and I really enjoy people going to me for their smoking needs. This is going to blow my business :-P

Wouldn't you rather have a legitimate business with a storefront? If this passes, there will be as many weed shops as Starbucks in LA, and every one of those business owners is going to be making as much or more money than they were making as street dealers.

WTF?! so what do they do with dealers, execute them? fucking ludicrous, it's a plant! a biological motherfucking growing organism! well, don't get caught! best of luck to the californians, seems like good things keep falling into place since ahnold's been at the helm

I sure as hell hope were next...

This would be godly, I live in CA. It's already really chill what with the cannabis club, and really lenient laws, but this would be amazing.
