On the tweek again. Drinkin' county prune!
The title fairly well sums it up.

I tried taking 2g of caffeine today, which would usually put me into mild tachycardia and make me shake like Michael J. Fox. But I mixed with 80mg of the non-selective beta-blocker propranolol, and found the experience to be very enjoyable. No shakes, no racing heart rate.

Effects lasted around 4 hours, as is typical of caffeine. Not much of a crash, although I'm not prone to them. Without peripheral effects, it reminded more of a nootropic than a stimulant. Highly recommended.

Waagh! Do you usually take such massive doses of caffeine? And if so what is the purpose behind taking such doses?

I'm just curious, not trying to knock it. It's definitely not something I would do, but different strokes for different folks, whatever floats the boat, no?

Would you perhaps consider adding a little more subjective information to the report? It doesn't necessarily have to be in the form of the conventional timeline-based trip report. I find when I write reports that deviating from the standard format can produce a more interesting piece of text, but that's just me. I mean hell, it doesn't necessarily have to be done at all, is just that this is a wee bit short of length and short of information (by far the most important of the two) for this forum, and since this is an uncommon combination, and an uncommon dose of caffeine in the first place, I'm sure it would be fascinating to get a little more detail.

I used to do 4-5g a day, but got psychosis from sleep deprivation. Not fun times. Quit caffeine for a couple months and then started lower doses.

Not a hell of a lot to say other than it made me pretty hyper-vigilant, stimulated and alert, but didn't seem to have any side effects thanks to the beta blocker.
