My partner has just been through a very stressful and traumatic event. She has disorganized thoughts, talking to herself and talking about dates and absolutely random things unrelated to what's going on, involuntary movement of the arms and legs.

Please my mum is schitzophrenic, so i know what this is like and i'm very worried.

I have a limited amount of benzo's and have given her a low-moderate dosage to bring the her thoughts to a much more manageable level.

She needs to see a doctor ASAP. This will spiral out of control very quickly if not managed appropriately. Please do not give her benzo's, I know you think you are trying to help by doing this, she could become dependant on them which would make the situation a whole lot worse. She needs your support more than ever right now, she probably feels very alone and scared. She does need medical assistance right away. I have been through the nightmare of recurrent psychosis, I battled it on my own for nearly a year before I sought medical help. Please do the right thing and get her to a doctor. The situation could get 100x worse if her condition isn't treated immediately. Stay safe and I'm only a PM away if you need any help or further advice. Take care darling.

That was very odd. Brief pyschotic disorder which is usually triggered by a stressful event has a short duration of a few days to a week. My girlfriend was definitely psychotic(talking to her self, writing things on the wall with her fingers, disorganised speech) for atleast 3 hours before it slowly leveled off with the help of 0.25mg clonazolam which she then not soon aftet fell asleep. Amazingly she seemed quite lucid throughout and could respond to me and realise something was wrong with her.
