As of current date Harbor Side does not want more than Oakland's current 4 Medical Cannabis Clubs. Their agenda is to help put up red tape to prevent more from being permitted. More than hersey... there really is some shady business going down at Haborside. In light of their recent political maneuver to secure there choke-hold as Oakland's WALMART of the currently 4 city licensed clubs, I think it is in fact time for patients to re-evaluate what's really going on, and what is best for themselves and their community. I firsthand met the directors of the Haborside club at Earthdance music festival in Humboldt county where they had a vendor booth promoting there club and advertising there search for new possibly vulnerable product vendors. Being a patient / caregiver, and living Oakland, I made a stop by the club one morning soon upon returning and became and member and took a look around. I was informed on the protocol for vendors and came back the next morning with a backpack of some extra product. There was a ton of people there and they put us in alittle room until one at at time went to see rick in another room, where there was 5-10 other people all getting high on the job burning out of a volcano blowing the vapor into a carbon filter exhaust out the roof. My purple kush and white widow was good and so was the price, but that rick guy was acting all weird and looked like he was spun out and said they were all stocked thru christmas. Every person in that room heard and saw our whole conversation. To make a longer story short i was followed home from the club by some shady characters, and the window of my car was broken out and my bag with a pound in it was stolen while i was in the store. I know they followed me from Haborside, and have and overwhelming suspicion they were tipped off by Rick himself, an employee, or another vendor in that room. When I went back to complain to Rick not only about what happened, but about the protocol for vendors and the risk and vulnerability, he got all red like a raspberry and one of his mignons stepped in and said there licensing says the must conduct all business on site. Speaking with other ex-employees there is a lot of evident corruption internally within this club and we know about the off site warehouse in East Oakland where they are attempting to incorporate there corruption and be a self sustaining super-club of the area.... so much for the little man still working his day job trying to vend for a legitimate SMALL FAMILY RUN BUSINESS. I know I'm not the only one... I've heard the stories... "security guards selling marijuana outside the club in the parking lot" .... and other people being stopped or mugged after leaving the club with a bag. Who else has a story? BOYCOTT HARBORSIDE!

All i can say is that sucks. To think that this is the most advanced place in the US in terms of marijuana reform and the owners there are engaging in these types of activities. thats sad.

Id assume most people are not like this, but there's always someone that has to come along and find a way to exploit things, that's the glory of the human race.

Yeah...it sounds like there's the potential for a little violence in Oaksterdam. This is why I don't need a Medical marijauna card....I don't deal with people I don't know...and if I haven't known you for at least 20 years...then I don't know you.

Anyway, while the guy is 100% right that Steve DeAngelo is trying to be the wall mart of weed, the shit about some guy getting sent to follow him home and steal the # because they didn't want to pay for it is basically bat-shit put the glass dick down insane. Harborside must clear 20-30k a day - they'd take his license away in a second if that ever got out, he ain't that crazy. Also same with the security, that shit even looks made up.

Bottom line some of that might be true-ish but really all it said was money money money money - just one of a million bay area internet messages where someones lying about something MMJ related to try to help themselves/hurt someone else or they're plain crazy.
