I really really liked bopgirl's last thread on plaz so I've shamelessly stolen the idea and started this weeks one on another well known bluelighter - Jakoz.

If you haven't met the guy you're missing out but you can still post, post about a memorable thread, email or post that you've read or an IRC convo you've had with him.

My favorite two memories of Jake are:

Sitting having coffee with my family whilst we were both peaking off our heads and very very drunk and the two of us like naughty little children giggling, running outside for a smoke every five minutes and being unable to look at each other without dissolving into giggles.

and

Going for long walks along the river at night and talking for hours - the funniest of those nights being when a security guard coming up to us to ask if we were alright, and Jake made some smart ass comment that cracked us up.
 
there are far too many stories to recount. what can i say, i've partied with the guy, i've munted with the guy, i've tweaked with him, hell, i've even lived with him for a while. absolute top bloke, with limits far beyond my understanding. and i have some pretty high tolerances.

jake is at his funniest either when he's on ze ole nitrous, or when he unintentionally confuses the fuck out of himself, and does his own head in.

like some of us, he's unbreakable by anyone outside, but now and again, he does a real good job of breaking himself. at those times, he trully excels, and outdoes himself =D.

also, give him a cigarette, and he'll listen to your problems, and more often than not, come up with real cogent insights and very useful advice. this last bit is a secret, he'd like everyone to think he's frivoulous and care-free. he's actually got a very powerful mind. shhhhhhhhhhhhh, don't tell anyone ;). keep it up mate

i haven't met him yet, but we've had a plenty of late night chats a while back - and mostly me going "why can't i see the BL icon huh huh?????" and he's always been patient with my never ending questions, plus making me laugh and all that :D

<3 him, because he's always even-headed while we talk, even though sometimes, only sometimes i wonder how he could mirc the way he did, the times he was on the floor while we chatted (lying down) ;)

Hehe, I reckon jakoz could count the amount of bluelighters he's met on one hand :) Yet he is such an integral part of this "community" we all hold so "dear".

I hold jakoz in very high esteem, and yes, he's had to listen to my fair few complains about admin stuff, but he always takes it with good nature, and plenty of drugs =D

Keep up the good work jake, and one day I hope to "bust it oldskool" with you.

Ever since he posted that, I can look at one of his posts without remembering that picture... It's been burned into some strange corner of my mind, AND I CAN'T GET RID OF IT.

What can I say?.... Jake is a top bloke...

I have known him for awhile, and that time has been eventful. We have been through a a lot of happy times together, shared many a great night, both fucked up and sober. We just had to be in the same room as each other, and we would be pushing each others limits. We have also been through a few lows together but both of us have help each other to get through them.

I miss you man, can't wait till I get back to Perth to see you or you come for a visit to the east coast.
