^^^ actually, yes. If you're going to start a topic, start it with a post that invites discussion.

That being said, babu is my little panda bear. Not only is he a great fellow moderator, he's a wonderful friend, skilled in the art of decoding messages about pink nokia's, green fluffy tennis balls, coc-Caine! and many other wonderful things.

As the only person certified in babu-speak ;) I can safely say that this guy is a little sweetie and probably doesn't realise he's as loved as he is :)

oh dear oh dear oh dear... where do we start... well actually i think it was Hyperspeed at that stupid place in Rozelle which started everything off...

too many parties to recall...

but Rushhour was good if only for the lend of the awesomely warm red jumper :)

then more parties, and adventures...

I met Babu at finalthump ...he came up to me and said "Your doofqueen aren't you?" I asked him how he knew that and he said "the red dreadlocks and the pink fairy wings" hehehe He is a very friendly, generous and kind person ...many hugs to you Babu...hope to see you again soon. =D

first time i met babu was the nite after a party @ adikkals, we were standing outside in the cold, he wanted a ciggie , i wanted a bed .. he remembered his icq number ... i was shocked that he knew it.

i went home .. saw him again months later at infected mushroom and have been ever so jealous of his internet speeds in between.

Met this dude at altitude in aug last yr when i went out for my birthday. Straight babu to babu on G, to adikkal packin babu cone, babu = happy :)

Then he came to my bday shindig and it was his mini disc that i was listening to in the morning, word.

Then onto the canberra party where babu was in a wonderfully interesting state of mind which i have superbly captured on my digital camera...

Then he bribed me with a buddha so i wouldnt show anyone the pics... well, it probably was more an act of good faith than a bribe, but hey, i won't upload the pictures... unless....

me: 'everybody, SHUT THE FUCK UP!!' turning to babu, 'i want you to say something, all i've heard from you is "hello" when we were introduced.'

babu: 'i just want a cone.'

me: 'ok.' fumbles around in the console for the fittybag. finds it and throws it at babu

babu: 'but my bong's in the boot.'

me: 'oh!' pulls car over so babu can get chong

babu: comes back in car and proceeds to pack chong 'you can go now'

me: 'i'm waiting so i can have one too!'

babu: 'i love you.'

it's easy enough to please the man, what can i say =D i gave him a couple of cones, and i have a friend for life. babu rocks!!

I remember when babu tried to sell dodgy copied videos on bluelight way back when he'd only just joined, and he had his thread shut. There's something about it in the mod hideout archives I think. And now he's a mod. :D

I know I've partied with Babu at least a couple of times. I just don't remember those moments very well 8)

Reading this thread makes me wonder if I've smoked with him..

I do remember that the first time I met him was when I answered someone else's phone one morning.

Then I went looking for him to give him a lift, and got lost in my own town.

I think these new sober meet-ups are a good idea in some ways.
 
Babu we have helped each other out many a time in small ways. Now all we need to do is get pissed together.
Maybe at one of those sober meetups that punch speaks of.
