Date: Saturday 20th January
Location: Fernshaw Park, Yarra Ranges National Park, East of Melbourne, Victoria.
How to get there: From the city, follow Maroondah Hwy ALL THE WAY. (Do not turn off this road!!!) Follow it past Healsville into Yarra Ranges National Park. Fernshaw Park is the first picnic area you come to on the right - just past Watts River. For more detailed instructions, click here.
Cost: $10 deposit into account or $15 on the door

The problem is how far away from melbourne are people willing to go???
Cus there really wont be much of an area that hasnt got residential esablishments round here that wont complain about the noise.

There is an awesome spot at the Black
Spur National Park over past Healsville (near the Jungle Bizness location) It is a picnic ground with a toilet block and surrounded by the straightest and tallest gums trees you'll ever see. It would suit a bush doof - it would really give the spiritual effect to it all.
The guys from Jungle Bizness were going to use this site but due to rain it became quite muddy, so they opted for the picnic ground further up the road. Seeing a though we arew holding it in January I see no problem. They gained premission from the rangers and I think they obtained a permit for $200. The rangers had no problems with a party being held there. The local police were informed aswell from memory, again no porblems with them either - the party went well into the next day without any fear of it being shut down. All they told the authorities was that they wanted to hold a birthday party - they stayed clear of using the word rave.

sounds like things are coming along nicely guyz......well done, and as much as some of u might not think so, i would definately be willing to go to Healesville to support Bluelight.......$15 is not much to ask for all this use of Bluelight and a great party aswell!!

That area is good, and it's not that far of a drive from where I live so it's even better, but seriously it's nice and green.
 
Yeah it's probably about an hour away from G.W. Please don't shoot me if I'm wrong though.
 
Ok. With Haste's suggestion, we will be investigating the use of the area where they held "Jungle Bizness" a few months back.
However, we need your help! Does anyone know the name of this area/national park??
We need this information to hunt down the park ranger, and abduct him/her

Ok it's called the Yarra Ranges National Park and the stretch of the Maroondah Highway that goes through it is known as the Black Spur (the ranges will know what you are talking about)
Fernshaw Park - is where I'd like to see the party at - this is where Jungle Bizness was suppose to be held.
Dom Saddle Park - a bit further up from fernshaw is this park, where Jungle Bizness was held.
Dan and myself will check out both parks for suitablility in the new year

Ok, well, thanks to my beautiful, sexy, gorgeous, wonderful girlfriend nocturnal_chick, we have a tentative booking for Fernshaw Park, near where "Jungle Bizness" was held!
We are going to check out the area, and will confirm it not long after new years!
