Copelandia Cyanenscens, or Paneaola? Does anyone know if these are legal in the US? Has anyone ever tried them?

I tried some that I picked in the wild once....I didnt really trip like on mushrooms but I did get all silly and giggly and notice euphoria and a change in perception.

Anyone else? Anyone ever grow them?

Any psilocin mushroom is illegal AFAIK. The silly and giggly effect was probably due to smaller dose or according set/setting.

Any material that contains psilocin is illegal in the US. It doesn't matter what variety it is. Like most natural drug sources, it's the drug itself and anything that contains it which is illegal, not a list of specific species of plant. If you somehow grew a tomato with psilocin in it, that tomato would be illegal.

I didnt realize that psilocin was also controlled. I thought it was just Ppsilocybin.

Anyone have any experiences with this mushroom?

I had a number of Panaelolous Cyanescens when I was in Amsterdam. I was a bit of a novice to shrooms (and drugs in general) back then so some information I'd take note of now I didn't bother to think about at the time. I can't remember the dose for one thing, they were sold in packs with the doseage information being half a pack for a mild trip and a full pack for a heavy trip. I ate more or less the whole box and the trip was the heaviest I've had then or since. Within about twenty minutes of having them I was in the garden staring at some ants which became like static on a TV, and about half an hour after that I was laid out in my room tripping balls. At the peak of the trip I experienced complete ego loss and an almost coma-like state, and this was followed post-peak by extreme (but very pleasant) depersonalisation which involved me working out my identity using process of elimination. Six hours after coming-up I was totally back to baseline and in the pub, one of the best trips I've ever had.

I think what you mean is the name "blue meanies", which is what cyanescens are called. I'm going to merge this with the thread we have for that and the similar azurescens.

actually, this is incorrect.

psilocybe cyanescens (related to ps. azurescens & ps. cyanofriscosa) are all in the temperate wood-lover family. they are dense mushrooms with caramel or tawny colored caps, and grow in fall/spring in cool climates. spore print is purple-black and mycelial growth is heavily rhizomorphic. in all three related species, a single fresh mushroom can grow to 3-4 inches across and weigh 20g wet.

copelandia cyanescens and similar species are dung-loving species that grow in more tropical areas. they are thin, easily damaged mushrooms that are usually ghostly white with a jet black spore print. fruits are generally smaller, 1-3 inches and very lightweight.

they are in completely different genera, but are of similar potency (both are 1.5-3x compared to ps. cubensis)

sorry, this should be unmerged :P

I had the privilege of eating Copelandia Cyanescens (sp?), labeled as "Hawaiian" mushrooms about five years ago in Amsterdam. They are very small muchrooms, all under an inch, and like Zakalwe said, half a pack was the suggested dose, whole pack was heavy dose. I'm not 100% sure on this but I think a whole pack was only 1g dried. These were also the only dried mushrooms sold in smart shops in Amsterdam. I was very experienced with mushrooms and psychedelics in general and I ate the whole pack.

My experience on these mushrooms is still to this day the experience I judge all other mushroom experiences by. It was simply amazing. Elevated mood, strong body buzz and visuals that reminded me more of a strong LSD trip than anything else. They lasted a LONG time too, for shrooms anyway. I'd say a solid 8 hours +. Usually shrooms only last about 6+ hours for me. My fiance and I were traveling with another couple throughout Europe for about 20 days and at that point we were kind of at odds with the other couple over trivial stuff that just added up. Because of this I was nervous to trip with them. This shared experience, however, completely healed all of the negative feelings, it wasn't even something we talked about, we all just kind of knew that this underlying feeling we'd all had was silly and that it was time for it to end.

Sorry for the full trip report, got carried away reminiscing, but I would suggest that anyone with any interest in psychedelics give these particular mushrooms a try. I've tried at least half a dozen strains of psychedelic mushrooms, and these are indeed my all time favorites.

Trip reports are always welcome. :)

I prefer a post with trip reports to one without.

Blue Mushrooms? - Copelandia Cyanescence

unmerged and thanks for clearing that up.

Although I still don't quite understand what falls under the label 'Hawaiian Mushrooms', which is
from a past time in the Netherlands smartshop-history. Perhaps I should dump the category if it doesn't
sum up a clearly defined bunch of shroom species.

My gut tells me even though copelandias are pretty different Hawaiian mushrooms are just small little
buggers that are about 3 times as potent, P. Cyanescens, P. Azurescens and perhaps the copelandia
and panaeolus types that resemble it even slightly as well.
But I don't know how different the trip is between these, I thought that it might be useful for
some people to just make a distinction between mexican shrooms (Cubensis and resembling types)
and a couple types that are more potent categorized together.

I think it would be either that or creating subthreads for all different species but I think one should just
go to the shroomery because we probably don't have enough attention for all that nor the focus.

So what would be a better classification?
- P. Cubensis
- P. Cyanescens and P. Azurescens
- Panaeolus genera mushrooms
- Copelandia genera mushrooms

?

Is ziltch nada none psi contentent in copelandia fungi
Some mutate and contain an unscheduled "psychedelic"
Yet asain zygotes seem to contain psi not found in copelandia not not not negative nun
Copelandia has tryptamine and serotonin mimics
Some species are licit in status
Cyanescens might entail cyanicide j/k or cyanicetin

How does this apply to DMT and mescaline containing plants?
They are sold through legitimate vendors much more freely than in Canada.

Im not sure about this. I'm pretty sure in florida you can poses psilocybin mushrooms up until they are dried, at which point they become illegal.
