All of the pills I have tested showed a purple/black reaction, recently my friend had one that tested pure black. It was quick to black, no smoke or anything like that. Anyone know the significance of not having a purple tint ?

Should be OK, straight to black.
In Holland official agencies call it darkblue.
Apparently if you do some physics trick ( with spectrometres and stuff like that, I don't know) then the official color is 'darkblue'.
However, if you have a good look and have me experiences with the reactions, you will see it varies from purple to blue to black.
All are OK as long as the reaction is rather quick.
Check our old colorchar as well, i is somewhere in the faq on our site, www.ez-test.com
