BITCOIN Discussion v. 8 Coins on an Old Computer

Glad I stocked up on ltc @ that serious dip:) Already made a profit (knocks on wood)

Let me run something past you crypto nuts. At the next hard BTC dip should I stock up and exchange it all for XMR once the btc dip corrects? Im already invested into monero but I *predict* it going up to etherum prices ($600-900). My litecoin I would be happy to see get to $400.

You would want to exchange your BTC for XMR at the point where the satoshi value (the price in BTC) for XMR is the lowest, and the USD value of BTC is the highest. You would not want to sell during a BTC price dip, you want to sell before it. Also, when BTC dips, unless the whole market is crashing it's usually flowing into the alts, so if you buy XMR during a BTC dip you're getting the worst deal for yourself that you could be getting, because the ratio of XMR to BTC is likely to be worst then. When you're looking to trade between cryptos, it's best to look at the satoshi value (price in Bitcoin), rather than USD price, since the whole market is tied to BTC. So if you want in on XMR, look for a dip in satoshi value and buy in then. And try not to watch the USD value too much, as it can be misleading. If you buy XMR at the lowest satoshi value that you can, then whenever BTC has a bull run, your investment will increase in value even if no one is buying XMR.

Enjoying the overtime at work. Been putting that added half time pay directly into crypto LTC and XMR. LTC I dont have "moon" expectations. Hopefully ends up in the $300-500 range/coin. XMR I believe is really going to take off in the coming years so my invest is biased towards Monero:)

I'm thinking of investing in ICOs and try to follow the latest news. Not so long ago I found one promising project iTrue here https://itrue.io/. It will enable businesses to improve authentication through biometrics and eventually build and market their own applications on the iTrue platform and ecosystem. I think it's gonna be a win-win project.

Staged a nice recovery in the last few months after bombing out last year...

Has anyone tried SweatCoin? I know someone who is trying it. I’m dubious myself.

I'd never heard of it before

Could it really incentivize people to exercise?

Interesting, isn’t it?

I know one person who has increased his walking per day for health and money ?! I’ll ask him how it’s going next time I see him.

It’s an interesting concept, but how is it funded? Maybe it’s like a gym membership (apparently you have to pay to get a better plan) and most people don’t use it?!?

I seldom give financial advice, especially with cryptocurrency (due to it's volatility) , but this is one to steer clear of. <3

And yes, I'm still holding all my Bitcoin ;)

What are your thoughts on Facebook's upcoming Libra coin mate? Do you think its hype is partly the reason for the recovery in Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is going through a natural cycle that didn't require Libra coin; however every bit of news that stimulates cryptocurrency helps the entire sector, including Bitcoin.

To anyone looking for a of BTC value, normally at the second half of December the amount of drugs bought on Darknets for holidays causes a massive spike.
Maybe now that Monero and LTC are being used on some markets as well, that might happen for them as well.

Users of The "Electrum" desktop bitcoin client need to be very careful of a very sneaky malware program which pops up from within the Electrum program itself. The pop up tells you that you need to apply a patch before you can send a payment. It gives you a link to
Apparently this thing has been going around since the end of 2018 but people are still falling for it.. If you don't know in advance there is no reason to suspect that anything is wrong.. it all looks like legitimate update prompt. I fell for this last week and lost .73 BTC.. nearly £6000 and what's hurts even more is Bitcoin is on the rise again.. 1 BTC is around £10k today...ouch!

I wouldn't be surprised, Phobos.
