Bipolar in need of Advice
I was diagnosed type two bipolar about a year and six months ago. Since then it's felt like I've been on hundreds of different meds that just didn't help. I have a good doctor and the past couple months iv been the most stable in a long time. The magic combination is: Zyprexa 15 mg once at night, Effexor XR 100 mg once in the morning and three two mg kpin as needed through the day making it 6 mg.
The last time I went to see my doctor I exaggerated my anxiety levels to get more Kpin. He used my does by two mgs and added lithium and Busprion twice daily. What I'm getting at is should I stitch to the 3 meds I know work? I feel like I need to switch my antidepressant. I've tried Zoloft which worked wonders for a long time then Prozac. I'm thinking of mentioning Wellbutron. I should add I don't get euphoric mania like some bipolar people do. I go from normal to down in the dumps and super irritated.
I hate having to take more than three meds I just think it's over the top. I want to be stable but not 'snowed' out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
