since winter is coming, i want to avoid the extra weight that the annual "stuffing my face" activities tend to produce. i'm a broke-ass college student with a child so needless to say, i have NO spare money (saving up isn't really an option) to purchase a gym membership or the equipment to do what i need to at home. i just want a few ideas on what i can do to lose weight and maintain the weight loss without having to spend a lot of money. i'm not exactly sure it can be done but i'm willing to do what i can.
my only problem is that i'm severely asthmatic so running or even jogging is out of the question. i can swim but do not have access to a pool. i do powerwalk but it takes twice the amount of time and work to lose the same amount of weight that jogging/running would. i'm a bit pissed that i can't run but there's nothing i can do, unfortunately.
i've thought about using household things (gallons of milk, sacks of potatos) to use as weights (haha
) for weight training (to build lean muscle mass and lose fat) but i'm not sure how efficient that would be.
any help would be great
