Anyone catch any live music anymore? Has anyone caught any of these bands? Any suggestions for your favorites to party to? Any shows you've noticed with a great vibe? Any worth rolling to? Any mind-blowing live electronic acts? Two (or three) turntables get kinda old after a while. Yes, this is usa-centric, but pleace add on.........

seen them at lollapalooza 97' in charlotte. they were the last act and one of the guys came out dressed as a butterfly with wings on. It was a great show althoughI didn't roll back then.
other great shows are
Ziggy Marley and the Melody makers
Julian and Damian Marley
Tricky
Hopefully going to see Ben Harper on the 28th
he's one of my Fav's.

A few more jam bands to try and check out:
* Deep Banana Blackout - the lead singer-chick Practically channels the spirit of Janis Joplin!
* Strangefolk
* Disco Biscuits
* Percy Hill
The last time I saw these bands was at the Gathering of the Vibes last year in Conn. They were all really great and so much fun to dance to. As for "popular" bands, 311 puts on a really good live show, as does Cypress Hill. As far as live electronic acts, Rabbit in the Moon definitely takes the cake.
PEACE~

I saw the Prodigy live in 95 at a two day Satisfaxion party in Malaga in Spain, they headlined the 1st night, and then it was DJs for the rest of the night/next night, with a thankfully quick performance by Liquid who were on their label at the time. They blew the roof off (except there was really no roof, it was open air), it was well b4 Fat of the Land so we were treated to nothing but the finest jilted and experience tunes, and me and my friends drove five hours up the coast in a convoy of six cars full to get there, got there one tune b4 they came on, made our way to the front of the stage...THEY WENT OFF. Keith jumped into the crowd and danced around, everyone lost it. Ahhh...they ruled. None of us has been able to beat that party so far, it just has this magical tinge to it, like it was just "perfect", you know? Made in Spain, you cant get better. Ive also seen the Chem Bros and the Orb, but cant say either did much for me, although I think my substance of choice for the night and the sound system at the venue might have added to any discontent I was feeling. I really only like exit Planet Dust tracks, Im just not into any of their stuff since then.

Soulfly, you are so right about Roger Waters. I saw him in PA during the worst storm last summer and had the best time. We didn't get to see the concert light show, but we did get the most amazing lightening show!!!
The best part? He's touring again this summer. YAY!!! Can't wait!

Phish is a hard band to LABEL (thats why i love em!) but if i HAD to put a label on em i'd have to call 'em something like "improv-psyEdElic jam rock" hehehe

The best live show i have seen to date would have to be slipknot. it doesnt seem like anyone is into insane hardcore around here so that probably wouldnt spring a light bulb in anybody's head but oh well. slipknot is the best live.
