Science Beavers to the rescue?

They've been reintroduced to the UK recently. We used to have them but killed them all for their pelts long ago. Seen as a solution to various global warming, erosion, land degradation and management, waterfoul species enhancement etc etc. They're doing really well and have done wonders on some of the river basins they've been allowed to restore to a partially flooded state. Naturally many farmers will be up in arms at some point and will start poisoning or killing them, even though they do receive compensation for harm caused.
