I have had this happen to me before a couple of years ago, and I could not explain it. Now it is happening again.

My tolerance is currently pretty low for me. If I take 30mg of oxy I usually feel fine. I wouldnt say I am high or anything. Nowhere near nodding or anything. Just a mood boost, and I am more talkative. I dont get tired or anything taking 30mg. I dont even worry about getting sick or having to eat something before I take the oxy on such a small dose. I have been drinking grapefruit juice with the oxy in the last couple of weeks. Doesnt seem to make a difference.

Well yesterday all the sudden 30mg has me feeling extremely tired, and sick. None of the positive opiate feelings at all. Just the negative ones. I feel nauseas. I feel extremely tired. My sides, and my sternum hurt. My stomach is making this weird bubbling noise. My breathing is lowered. I amlost feel like I am going to stop breathing when I fall asleep. I feel like I am in a haze, and just out of it. This is all on a dose that many times I can barely feel any effects from in the weeks leading up to this. 30mg is nothing to me.

I remember a couple of years ago I had a similar thing happen to me all of the sudden. Whenever I would take my regular dose of oxy it would immediately make me extremely sick, and tired. Again all the negative effets from the opiates, and none of the positive. I remember that time my sides hurt very bad. Also felt like I might stop breathing if I went to sleep. It felt like I was taking double or triple the oxy I was actually taking, and I had none of the positive effects. Basically opiates sucked until this stopped happening.

So what would be some of the explanations for this? I remember a couple of years ago I thought I might have a gallbladder issue. I had read that opiates can have adverse reactions on people with gallbaldder problems. Is this a possibility? Any other opinions??

Also there was something that happened to me last week that could be related.

Ever since I have started taking opiates if I do too much physical work while I am on them I will get extremely sick. VERY SICK.

Well this happened to me one day last week. I took 30mg of oxy, and started to help somebody do some work. Slowly I could tell I was about to get sick so I laid down. It was too late. I ended up getting extremely sick for the entire day. Very tired, dizzy, and throwing up. Whenever this has happened to me in the past it last for quite a while. I usually stay very sick, and tired for the whole day. My sides, and sternum hurt also. I just avoid physical work while im on opiates.

What I feel right now isnt nearly as bad as when that has happened to me but it does feel somewhat similar in how I am very tired, and my sides hurt. That happened about 5 days ago. Yesterday I started getting this weird reaction to the oxy.

Btw I am taking 30mg roxi. No tylenol.

Honestly is sounds like a dehydration/malnourishment issue possibly low blood pressure issue. That is strange though, maybe someone else has some ideas.

Do you take any prescrip meds?

Is the oxy you're getting scribed or from the streets?

I know that I have had a similar experience with prescription oxy too. It's odd but I guess it shows that your body can react very differently to substances you think you're used to at any given time. I'm very used to taking oxy but once I took my same dose - 200mg, and felt very sick, nauseous, I had a headache and just generally didn't feel well at all. There wasn't a high, it was just disgusting. I have no idea what caused it, but I know I woke up the morning after that even worse - pounding migraine, sick to the teeth etc. I attribute the migraine to respiratory depression in the night, but the initial reaction was completely out of the blue as I'd been taking that dose for months daily beforehand.

In reality the reason for it happening was because my body was very tired from all the stress I'd been putting on it with the use of drugs, not eating and drinking enough water and getting poor quality sleep. It all piled up and that day was very bad. Two days later I got the worst tonsillitis in the world - abscesses. All due to overloading and working myself to the extreme point where my immune system had become compromised.

You really need to look after yourself and watch your diet and health when using opiates.

If your flanks hurt near your love handles extending to your upper back I would suspect its cholestssis causing nephrototoxicity.

If you have constipation/diarrhea (possibly bloody), decreased mental acuity, increased /decreased urination, shallow breathing, irregular heart beat, or excessive tiredness you could have an underlying kidney disease.

Mention the pain in your flanks to your doctor, and ask to have your kidneys checked.

I will second the possible kidney problem. The signs sure point that way based on research after reading this...Synthetix is right though.Drink plenty of water while taking opiates. It's easy to neglect your body when it feels so good, lol.

I will also agree that getting checked by a doctor might not be a bad idea, better to know what's going on with your body than to have it come back and bite you in the ass.

However, if you aren't experiencing any pleasant effects, #1 on my list would be just to stop. It may be your bodies way of telling you that you overdone in the past with getting high, and it simply can't tolerate it anymore. Tapper if need be, but if you can get off, it will be better for you in so many ways.

The very best, and be sure to keep us posted on how you are feeling.

yeah, another see the doctor.

none of us are going to be able to diagnose you over the internet with the side-effects you're mentioning. we can only offer suggestions, theories. which may be totally incorrect.

don't ignore the problem in hopes it will go away in time. definitely see a doctor as soon as possible.
