Hi first time post here, looking for help for a friend that's having some nasty effects off of adderall.
So here's the story. My buddy has been taking adderall pretty frequently for work. He told me he's been on it since wednesday with little sleep and little caloric intake. He has been taking a decent amount of vitamins. He's had the usual adderall comedown symptoms like feeling emotionless, dull and spaced out.
Here's the weird part, he said the last couple nights his extremities turn white and get very stiff and he can barely feel them. I've never heard of this happening because of adderall.
I told him to get some rest, lay off the adderall and I'm going to give him some l-tyrosine and vitamin c to help with the dopamine depletion, is there anything else he can do?

It's been close to around 2 years since I've touched adderall b/c of the horrible side effects I had on them. I was prescribed them, and took them for over a year. Eventually I became tolerant to them and started taking a little more (not a lot, but a little more than prescribed). I began to have anxiety & panic attacks all the time and eventually quit. It gave me really bad heart palpiations and coming down off of it was pure hell.

Like your friend I went a long time w/o sleep also, and would go a long time w/o eating since it can do that to your appetite. I'd tell him to lay off of it & try to start getting a normal amount of sleep. As long as he's on that stuff his sleep & eating patterns could stay all messed up. Adderall might help some people, but it can really mess you up too if it's just not for you.

When I take too much adderall I usually experience purple, cold, and clammy extremities. It comes with the territory, it can be kind of scary though. I'm not sure if you're buddy experienced these precise symptoms but they seem at least vaguely related.

Drink water, eat food. Vitamins are good, but not something I ever do. Rest, try not to freak out and so on. I really should emphasize eating food. Nothing makes me feel better when coming off speed than staying well hydrated and eating a good healthy meal. Even though the meal probably doesn't sound too appetizing

Adderall - the first drug I tried when I was fourteen years old. Fortunately, I never became dependent on them because I stopped taking them due to uncomfortable and scary side-effects relating to my heart and blood pressure. I haven't touched any in 8 years.

When I quit using them, I was paranoid to even use caffeine. Was scared of stimulants for a little while. I'm kind of glad I got side-effects and was smart (scared) enough to quit using it, because I could have become dependent and amphetamine addiction might be one of the most unhealthy there is.

to the OP: peripheral vasoconstriction is a known side effect especially at higher doses, extremities lose blood and color. They also can tingle and get strange pins and needle pains. It's a bitch and annoying but not fatal. I haven't really found a remedy for it either. In my experience when the drug wears off so does the side effect.

However, if it is continuing on days after your friend stopped using the drug I would be concerned about that. Is this the case?

L-tyrosine completely demolishes about 90% of the comedown for me.

How many milligrams of L-Tyro? And at what stage in the comedown do you take it? I haven't ntoiced much of a difference in my comedowns with my daily L-tyro. I feel satanic now no matter what with the bastard amounts I have been eating.

Won't l-tyrosine down-regulate dopamine receptors if taken for long enough at a sufficient dose?
