Artificial smell/taste? Smells too good to be real!

Ok a few weeks ago one of my guys came around with two different strains. He called them: Bubblegum and Raspberry Kush. This guy usually has legit strains but upon smelling these two strains, I had to ask myself if it was possible that they where somehow artificially flavored.

The Bubblegum smelled and tasted pretty much exactly like Bazooka Joe. The Raspberry Kush smelled more like some type of delicious candy and tasted absurdly sweet. They both looked like quality bud too. The Bubblegum was especially crystallized.

Pretty much every person I showed this stuff to asked the same thing: "are you sure that it isn't sprayed with something?"

It smokes great and does not sizzle or anything that would indicate an additive. One of my friends suggested that perhaps it had been left to sit in a box with a lot of the gum/candy to absorb the flavor. This could explain the smell but I kinda doubt that this would make it taste as good as it does.

I know its impossible to say if thats the case but I was wondering if anyone had encountered something like this before. Does anyone know of a method to flavor cannabis that is actually effective?I have been to Amsterdam and smoked the best strains available in NYC and I have never tasted anything quite like these two strains.
 
ive had bubble gum and it smelled like bubble gum. i thought it was pretty crazy, but i think its the legit smell. can't tell ya about raspberry kush.

i will tell you that i know for a fact of one dealer who sprayed body spray on mids to sell as blueberry. haha
 
lol, 2 days ago i bought some bubblegum and i was thinking the same thing for the past 2 days. smokes very nice and smells/tastes like bubblegum, gets me very high too. im thinking its just very good weed, tooons of trichomes
 
it is artificially flavored with tobaco drops. there specially desighned not to sizzle or flame up or anything like that and it still leaves a bit of weed flavor. people sell "pineapple carcrash" around here and it has all been dropped and smells and tastes like pineapples. just confront the guy about it next time but keep in mind it really has no downside unless you would rather enjoy the natural smell of the weed to actually see if it is good bud. because people can drop beasters or schwa sometimes if it looks alright and sell it high up
 
^Yea, I have a feeling that the guy himself has no idea. He buys from multiple people to keep a variable stock and I seriously doubt this guy did it himself. I wouldn't be angry but I would like to know how it was done so that I can use the technique in the future if I ever get some potent but flavorless nugs, which occasionally happens.

I have seen those drops you are referring to but I have heard that they are kinda nasty. Maybe I will try buying the bubblegum flavor (if there is one) to see if thats the culprit.
 
I have had bublegum about a month ago as was told by my friend that it had some sort of flavor drops added to it that are designed not to sizzle and burn ok. It did taste like bazooka..kind of weird but nice high
 
I've gone to chian town in L.A. brfore and seen little droppers that you can buy that are supposed to give a specific taste and smell to weed, well its advertised for tabacco but it can be used for bud...

ive never used them so i dont know how well they work but i assume something like this could have been useD?
