Are pitbull lovers denying evolution and science?

Condemning a particular breed of animal is just the same as being a racist.
No. It's not. Even ignoring the fact that they're fucking dogs and not people, that's wrong on so many levels. Humans are practically clones of each other. Different breeds of dogs are nowhere near that similar and different racial categories of humans didn't evolve by selective breeding. Comparing different races to breeds of a domesticated animal that's basically been bred to be useful to people who own them is basically cryptonazi, pro-eugenics insanity. Dogs are dogs. Dogs are not furry little people and pitbulls do attack people in spite of never being abused and living perfectly happy lives with loving owners. Incidentally, about half of the pitbull attacks seem to be on the owners.

If you want a dog to be your little buddy and then pick a 60 lb carnivore from a lineage that's basically been bred to go apeshit for reasons that you could not possibly comprehend because you like how they look then you're an idiot. If you want to go full idiot then you can blame the toddler who gets mauled when pibbles sizes them up as a reasonable prey item.

Getting attached to your dog is all fine and good and it's a dick move to hurt animals for no reason but Western culture takes the whole concept of treating animals humanely way too goddammed far. For instance, there's this: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...ce-shootings-jeanetta-riley-justice-for-arfee

I like pittbulls but I don't like people taking them out on a walk really just as I don't like people carrying sticks.

fuck I guess I just don't trust people.

I trust that the dogs will attack me if they feel like they have a good reason. I don't trust that the owners are aware of how violence and the lizard brain work. I trust that their monkey brain is telling them that they're so awesome that nothing bad's going to happen when they walk their pit bulls off of a leash, down a narrow walk way. I also trust that they have no control over their dogs.
