Apparently There is Opium in the US

I'm living in, Cambodia at the moment. Bang smack! in the, Golden triangle its cheap and abundant.

Its deep, black and smells and taste kinda sour. I find smoking it pretty weak compared to swallowing a gram of the stuff.
I have never got close to getting the 'nods' when smoking it, its not THAT great, imo.

if its 'crappy tar', it essentially is 'good opium'
 
I've never seen real opium in the U.S. but I've been to many big music shows. No such thing as crappy tar being passed as opium, it's be hard to mistake. Opium is a sappy, very very sticky mess. tar is more stable...

so, if you live in the U.S. you are S.O.L. Asians and Aussies and even some Europeans may be in luck.

Opium is soft, very dark brown, very sticky,
and tastes, well, like plant juice.
very very bitter. and very sour if its fresh.
 
Dudes... opium is not that rare. Also you can get cooked opium which is dry powder. Also opium is... I mean Jesus... the best smelling thing on the planet. I giggle like a little girl when I smell opium. Every once and a while some gets in a bowl and I don't know. Oh man... Jesusmastime errybuddy!

Cooked Opium is not always a dry powder. If heated, if it gets a little wet, or it's too humid, or it ages, it can become a tarry substance.

And it doesn't even require that- it depends how well the filtering has been done. If it's done well, it'll be a powder; if not, it will retain the tarry texture.


However, opium is that rare. Unless you're growing it yourself, know someone else who is, live near a large imigrant asian population, it's extremely unlikely that you'll come across it.
 
Hamilton.....you are right about the Hmongs. I live in the city that you were talking about that hmong man who worked at the post office and received some opium( a rather large amount) from a relative over in Thailand. This city in Wisconsin is one of the only places where you can find real opium in the US. I have like 6 or so articles from the newspaper saved of hmong people busted with opium, almost always elders. However it is still very hard to come across opium here, because it is hard to break into a hmong group, they stick to themselves somewhat. I have had the oppurtunity of trying real opium twice from a hmong friend who i went to school with my whole life, and it was from his grandpa who has been addicted to opium for 40 years, starting in Thailand. Since coming over here he has other people in his clan sending it over from laos and thailand.

a friend of mind told me abouta festivals he just recented where a guy admited to selling fentynal on insentcs as opium.

It's actually fairly easy to grow your own opium poppies. My mom grows them in her garden for ornamental purposes, and while she's never been sure what exactly the word of the law is, it's at least quasi-legal to have a small number in your garden. I'd imagine that most of the real opium consumed in America is probably either smuggled in through channels such as the ones come_unity described, or it's produced by private growers for personal consumption and maybe small scale distribution.

I'd be very suspicious of any "powdered opium." It would be pretty easy for someone to pass off heroin as opium to someone without much knowledge.
 
A few years ago I was fortunate enough to get my hands on an eighth of an ounce of real-deal opium in the states. In high school no less. It was beautiful, there is nothing like dry-bonging a bowl of O in bed before going to sleep.
 
My friend works with a gentleman from Iran, claims he gets the shit imported from there through a friend. Seemed legit enough when I tried it, but I have nothing to compare to.

LOL, that's where I got it once before.

I actually didnt realize it was that rare since I'd found it before, and I have literally no connects.
 
i had the pleasure of smoking hash balls covered in a real thin layer of opium.... amazing stuff. Definitely real deal. I smoked it with someone who's smoked various batches of opium... this was some awesome stuff. Got me on a bit of a nice nodd and had me stoned
