AOL Punter,Progies and Fire toolz

I know I couldn'tve been the only one that got big into programs called 'punters' and 'progies', which allowed you to MASS IM spam someones AOL username, not only that you could MASS email bomb the bitch and send 1,000+ EMAIL msgs, and each saying something different so 'they' had to go through and individual delete each email 1 by 1.
oh and when you were in AOL chat rooms, or wanted 2 troll the Nickelodeon chat rooms you could choose a 'Macro' and be able to shoot the bird, and macro some dirty shit.

programs such as ice toolz,fire toolz, and a few others! :)

needles to say, i got my mom banned from AOL for this shit for life.
 
I remember fire toolz. It was hard to find the legit download, but I remember finally being able to 'punt' people offline. I never realized back then how much of a pain it must have been since they had to sign back on with dial-up haha.

The only other thing I remember from it was being able to use it to post pics of the middle finger, big dollar signs, and a few other things using ASCII art.

haha yeah, when you would type in their account in the [WHO DO YOU WANT TO PUNT] box, you would mass IM, them and close the IM window, and do this atleast 25times per scond, until the person you punted would get kicked off lol.
messing around with progies got involved into some deeper shit then punters, I had federal agents show up @ my house, and here I is only 13. LOL@ wayback when you could make $$ from stores like wally world by using a program on AOL. it was a progie.funtimes lol.

the feds were so bewildered by what i could do that they never charged me, instead they gave me work, and was only 13. this was AOL 2.0-3.0?
 
Hahahaha, flash back to like 1996. My god man, those progies were so fucking annoying in the chats! I can admit that my little delinquent ass used them, for a time, as well, till I got tired of my screen names getting banned 8(

yeah, i guess i was making $ they came after me, you could go into a private aol chat room called 'punter' and usually the room would be full, except people would advertise their 'punter', my god their were so many!

guess they didn't want me telling others how i did it.

lol nice post, def a blast from the past. i loved firetoolz and the diff puiunters and mass IM spammers. i still remember my aol IM login info and PW. its been so long since i looked at it i bet no one would even show up active except the iprelay so you could make free calls and all the stupid bots AIM put out. is AIM even still around?

yeah,AIM is still around. Don't know if anyone still uses it besides maybe some online gamers,or something. guessing Facebook IM took over.

oh man loved the drops,and other chimes. it would annoy the hell out of people,and when they would start raging,you do them the added favor and punt them offline.:)
