Anyone with Clevo/Sager experience?

Awesome just overclocked the cpu to 3.6 here score gpu to memory +500 and +57 on core

4gb max cpu temp on 3.6 on one core and 3.4 on all 82 gpu 82 as well .

YYeah you're lucky you have 4GB card. They don't overheat.

980M launches tomorrow. You can be damn sure I'll be pushing to get my system replaced with new cards the second I hear that they have started shipping.

I can't wait to get those puppies in here... Look what I got today...

It looks like my chip will do 4.2 @ stock volts (1.262v is what it chooses to run 4GHz at out of the box (thanks to the high voltage combined with stock 57W TDP, I rarely saw over 3.5GHz when all four cores were active with the stock settings) and because of that, which is a high VID I think my desktop is lower, but thanks to liquid ultra I am able to keep it cool and run 4.2GHz 24/7 and just limit the TDP to 70W so I can get the benefits of 4.2GHz when the load doesn't peg power usage too high and thus keeps the temps below the 95C throttle point).

Multi-Core 14943

Certain tests throttled in GeekBench and I was afraid to raise the TDP past 80W as one of them pushed the CPU to 91C on the hottest core.

I guess the chip really isn't that bad, I could probably do better if I mod my bottom cover for more airflow.

I'm going to set this to 67W for my daily driver. It won't get 4.2GHz under heavy duty apps but most games should benefit from it. Let's see how it goes.

Oh yeah, two A/C adapters is mandatory for this if that wasn't obvious ;)

Oh and here's my 4940MX @ 4.4GHz ;)

Unfortunately the power circuitry in my Clevo won't support any voltage higher than 1.32v which 4.5GHz is not stable at so I can't push it further.

--- Reading CPU Frequency ---

Expected CPU Frequency is --> 2.40

Detected CPU Frequency is --> 3.88427
just got 3.88 ghz on i7 4700hq on 85 degrees max temperature
P.S. dude awesome scores and 4.2 for everyday use is actually amazing for a laptop and xtu 956 is godly

Dude help i need a bigger adapter asap the laptop is using the battery while on adapter and battery boost is self turning on locking my fps, which is really annoying ,so help , i have lenovo y500 170 watt if i can combo it with my current asus adapter or something ?

Well 4.2GHz is up until it hits 70 watts. Then it throttles. I can push the TDP as high as I want to but anything beyond 70W is overkill since I am mostly a gamer. Depending on the load, its not lower than 3.9GHz though and it averages 4.17GHz over a 24 hour period of regular use so yeah, its pretty damn good. I'm going to buy a heatsink that has a third heatpipe when I get my 980M cards because they'll still run cool despite the weaker GPU heatsink and I should knock another 10C easily off my CPU. Maybe hit that magical 4.3GHz or even 4.4GHz!

Honestly, I don't know anything about those machine. Contact laptoppartsnow.com and see if they have a compatible 230W adapter. They're great people.

after 100 updatets, bioses, drivers ,software and shit i got a perfect stable 1050 core 6000 memory 3,6 on cpu but i still need more power in other word the adapter gives in and the laptops sucks battery while on charger 2 hours on battlefield 3 76 max gpu 74 cpu and 1 hour crysis 3 max temp 82-83 on gpu, performance increase in games 12-29 percent from stock depends on the game.

dude i have 240 watt adapter i need at least 330 watt one

330W on a single GPU?

I mean I believe it but damn.

Send them a message and see. With Clevo its nice because they use the same plug for all of them. People have upgraded their 230W to 330W and my machine has 2 330W feeding it.
