I'm just wondering if anyone here has found Lexapro to be helpful for anxiety, social anxiety in particular.

IDK I was on Lexapro for 1.5 years but at the same time i was being blasted by Antipsychotics too so you never can really tell what was helping.
i didnt feel too much of anything (including anxiety) for that whole time tho.

I was having panic attacks and the dr put me on lexipro. They were reduced rather quickly while I was on it

I've been on 25mg Lexapro daily on and off over the last 8 years. In my experience it is extremely effective in treating both anxiety and depression. The only thing I don't like about it is that it kills me sex drive and I can't orgasm while taking it, i'm not sure how common that side effect is though.

Lexpro.... My own personal experience was that it totally derailed any and every effort to get a nut... This increased my own anxiety issues about fifty fold, it seems like a natural coping mechanism of the human body. I took it for about a month, then spent a week all jacked up that way with a girlfriend sleeping next to me in bed, became totally disinterested in sex as a result, stopped it then two weeks later it was finally cleared as was my ability to enjoy sex again (with resolution and all) and.... Yup, I've heard the same from many people that tried Lexapro. If you elect to go with it, I wish you luck.

For me it did not work. It was prescribed to help me with the withdraw, together with methadone. Bromazepan was the medication that worked instead.
