I am currently in remission from late stage Hodgkin's lymphoma. I don't know if it's a coincidence or not...but I got on methadone before I got sick, and was totally healthy beforehand. I wanted to know if there is any evidence linking methadone to cancer. Whenever I've tried to research it articles talking about how it's good for treating cancer and shrinking can er cells appear. I want to know if it's caused any type of cancers with the use of it. I got on it and three months later started showing signs of cancer.

I checked into this briefly and did not initially find anything indicating methadone has been currently linked to Hodgkin lymphoma. With .2%, so that’s .002% of the US population going through this you may have trouble finding research on it. There is just no money in it, so few people experience it and money funds research. Finding research into methadone possibly causing it is probably non existent. Could be out there though.

Did you do the biopsy conformation. Many of the symptoms of Hoskin lymphoma are shared with common side effects of prolonged methadone intake. So if you haven’t I’d get that done to make sure those medical professionals are sure they know what they are doing.

With rare diseases we often see little progress. I went through the same thing with sarcoidosis. Within three months of studying it I knew more about that specific condition then the specialist I would see.

Get into treating your condition.. learn about it and participate in your treatment. Which is exactly what your doing… nice work.
