I just this morning tried a combination of oxycodone + oxymorphone + cocaine (all of them snorted). I'm a seasoned opiate user, and have used quality cocaine close to 5 times in the past, however have never combined it with opiates before.

I have been doing 3-5mg (of active chemical) bumps of the opiates and about 30mg bumps of the cocaine every half-hour of so. The opiate bumps are separated from the cocaine bumps by at least 15 minutes. 1-2 hits of good weed every hour or so too. I complete this cycle about once or twice per hour to keep a buzz maintained, and am at about hour 6 so far. So I keep piling on the small bumps to ride the "speedball" high until I get burned out on it. I'm just getting slightly paranoid at the intensity level of the high.

I would like very much to nod out, but am afraid I will fall into a coma or something and die because of the danger of speed-balling.
I feel very high, but I'm pretty sure I'm not over-my-tolerance high to the point of any nausea or other discomfort other than "felling it real good".

Now in relation to this, IF you are about to overdose (fatally or moderately), does your body/brain generally get advance notice (non-IV/M ROAs of course) ? Can you overdose without having your CNS feeling 'overwhelmed' or 'over-stressed' by the drug(s); can overdoses happen suddenly even if you feel no discomfort/nausea or other negative signs developing? (Again, in this case assume non-needle ROAs so you are not passing-out instantly).

This paranoia is probably the cocaine (maybe weed as well) 'talking' as it tends to do that =D, but I figure there's no harm in asking just to be sure.

P.S. this post is dedicated to Edward Sanchez -- the cop that freaked out on weed brownies: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IoCGpP1FSM (lol... exaggeration of course)

You do not get advanced notice that you are about to overdose (primarily because overdose is such a broad term but also because you seriously can't tell) plus there is little you can do even if you knew you were about to. Also the big danger of speedballing is that the stimulant will mask the opioid depressive effects and result in you overdosing even easier without noticing. I would recommend you start taking it easier or if you wish to continue pushing the limits of the high, have a sober sitter who you trust with your life with you.

As for this thread any advice which says you can actually tell when you are about to overdose is against harm reduction policy, so the answer is no and I don't think anything will be gained by leaving this open.

If you (or anyone else) have any questions or concerns about this closure feel free to PM me.
