An injectable dye to mystify those around you?

If someone sees you shooting up in public it doesn't matter what colour it is or not, you're still shooting up and if they see necessary they will do something. I think this is a ridiculous idea.

I know this thread is bad for the ADD, but I must admit this is too entertaining to ignore.

Right now, it seems with the references to needing to shoot up in public while he's getting a blowjob, and to people at his location being accustomed to a "white man's eccentricity", it appears that he wants to shoot up in an orgy or some kind of brothel without private rooms probably located in central america or south asia (you know, the kind of sterile location ideal for safely performing an injection). A brothel or an orgy is the only place I can think of where a public blowjob would be acceptable but a syringe would not.
 
Strange thread certainly, but now that I think about all he needs to do is make up the shot on the bottom of a beer or soda can. The writing on the bottom will dissolve and turn the shot blue. When I saw this happen I was scared to shoot it, but being the junkie I am I shot it anyway. And as luck would have it I didn't die or even get sick. I can't really recommend this from a harm reduction standpoint, but ask a stupid enough question you'll get some stupid answers.
 
:D it is threads like these that really exemplify harm reduction in the purest of ways....why, i bet just tonight alone several hundred young 'uns are googling "injecting + brothel + blowjob + whitemans eccentricities=PROBLEM" and having their ASSES saved by this thread. Hooray for bluelight!

I googled "blowjob inject whiteman" and got 472,000 matches. I think grandad was right, the whole fucking world has gone nuts.8o
 
To complete the picture: the location is Africa. Small town. Small town girl, hardly ever seen a syringe in her life except on TV. Just me and the girl in the room. She would be warned at the last minute I can't get it up without administering myself a drug. Brand new treatment, that kind of stuff.

I'll give up the idea. I don't think there are any dyes that are really safe to IV. The two alternatives mentioned are methylene blue (no good because psychoactive) and cyanocobalamin (only injectable IM, not IV).
 
Injecting anything is dangerous for multiple reasons such asbreeching the skin microbial barrier; once a drug is administered there's no failsafe proceedure, such as flushing the stomach if it's just been eaten, if it doesn't have an antagonist. Sooo, why the fuck do you want to introduce a dye into your system via injection? Even dyes regularly used in medicine can go horribly wrong (an iodine based radiopaque dye, still in use, can cause a condition known as aracnoidosis in the spine, which is apparently an agonizing thing to have), so even considering things like synthetic azo dyes for injection is, well, fuckin' retarded. If you must do it outside, find a shady tree or rock just to get behind so no one can see you do the deed.

The whole premis of this thread makes me think of Scandanavian creatures that dwell under bridges and demand money from those that use said bridges

Sorry, but entertaining as this is, if nothing serious (or interesting like the bit about 'the blues of their eyes' in Dune) is forthcoming in this thread, the last post in it will mention that the pentobarbital used to euthanase small animals has a blue dye in it that is safe to inject (why they needed a safe dye in a euthanasia soln is beyond me). You'd have to look up the formulary though as I'm too lazy and off to bed in 5 minutes...

originally there was this really popular and high-quality type of meth that was pink due to some trace amount synth byproducts

It was due to not being able to remove all of the red dyestuff from the pseudoephedrine tablets (that were seen as the best precursor you could get as the end product was d-methamphetamine)
