Amphetamine and Cannabis STM?

Hi,

I'm interested in the effects of Dextroamphetamine concomittant with Cannabis on short term memory.
I realize THC compromises Hippocampal function period, and that the effects of short term memory impairment are dose related, but I'm just wondering if there are any studies on short (and consequently long) term memory with the two combined. I guess a basic hunch of mine is that the Dextroamphetamine elevating Glutamate levels should cause a minor improvement in memory retention during (and in the 24 hour post) Cannabis use.
I've looked at a few databases and around these forums with not much yield, likely since there isn't much of a licit market for mixing cannabis and amphetamine and since the effect on STM of Cannabis is one of the most useful talking points prohibitionists have.

Thanks

I have noticed many times in the midst of binges on d-amph while drinking and smoking weed the whole time that my short term memory is absolutely shot.

My thoughts are that I just 'notice' the poor memory alot more due to the amps in my system, whereas if I'm just smoking weed my memory will be just as poor but I'm far less likely to be aware of it.

D-amphetamine by no means is going to prevent the STM side effects of marijuana IMO.

cool. Mostly I've heard other people talk about using Cannabis for coming down from D-Amph, but I'm talking about using them together (i.e., dose of amphetamine, hit of cannabis) and the amphetamine dose I'm considering is WAY below I guess what most people would consider a recreational dose; really in the range of low therapeutic doses (5-10mg Dexedrine/day). I'm not using it to get high, just for help with memory retention under intensive courseload. Maybe the shot memory was also in part to a sort of hypo amphetamine psychosis, which, while maybe not full blown schizoid amphetamine psychosis (I don't know the severity of your binge) can still really impair basic memory functions. And drinking alcohol would add to the memory problems or at least, the GABAergic aspect of alcohol would be at constant odds with the Glutaminergic aspect of Amphetamine, so you were probably canceling a good deal of potential Glutamate release with high GABA. Basically you didn't give the Amphetamine a chance I don't think haha.
