So dig this...been having very, very painful stabbing sensations in my stomach for the last week or so. Finally decided I couldn't take it anymore and drove to the er. After an hour in the waiting room, i am finally awarded the privilege of waiting to be seen in an er room. After about an hour, I finally get the news I've been hoping for: pain relief is on the way! 25 minutes later, a nurse comes in...and gives me a 325 mg tylenol, and says that's all they can do for me: basically told me to fuck off. At this point, I'm rocking back and forth clutching my stomach and crying on and off. I waited all this time FOR FUCKING TYLENOL? really?!

The lack of compassion in these people is utterly incomprehensible and downright scary. All in all, today I learned that pain relief is best kept to the streets. The doctors I guess are all too scared or evil to actually help.

Maybe the sleep deprivation is finally getting to me, but I have absolutely given up on our healthcare system. Its fucking clown shoes and everyone knows it.

Well /end rant. Gotta go relapse :\. Its been 3 months since I used. It just seems like they're acting like this to get everyone hooked on H so we can be locked up in various jails, mental institutions, and slave labor camps.

Pitiful.

around here they dont hand anythin out cuz everyone is a drug addict just lookin for a fix even if u have tests or xrays or watever to prove somethin is wrong..i dont even see y anyone bothers since u can just get the samethin at walmart and save some time

why is H your only choice for stabbing pains in the stomach? No x ray? no nothing?
Do you have a normal doctor?

Crazy unless you have a history of going to the ER they should of given you a shot of Dill or something... that sucks man I know the feeling

Your clean and having pains? Then its real its not WD right? I would go see another doctor and get checked out your gallbladder could be exploding or something horrible... seriously don't just go mask pain WITH H get some fucking medical help it could be a ulcer or anything

Blood test, urine test, stool sample, x-ray, pet scan, cat scan, ultrasound, etc. All "inconclusive".

Yes, am currently clean (3 months): no wd's. Havent even been drinking or smoking bud lately, though not by choice.

I appreciate the advice, just scheduled an apt with a GI doctor, a neurologist, a GP, and a psych. I am just so very confused as to how/why this started.

A couple months ago I decided to become a vegetarian for health reasons. I began feeling better (much better, actually) and gradually my hard drug usage (not including alcohol) slowed, and the desire to do so became less and less of a dominating factor in my day to day life. The first few days were rough on the stomach, but everything balanced out soon enough and stayed that way long enough for me to become complacent and used to feeling good. Then this happened

I just don't understand, and am having trouble figuring out if I should even care that I don't

sounds pretty awful. I've gone to the hospital with severe pain, from an abscessed tooth and wasn't given anything either. Also with strep throat and didn't get anything. The most i've ever received for pain were a few samples of tramadol or codeine, it is ridiculous that people in pain can't get the help they need. IME if you just ask for samples of tramadol or 5 codeine pills or something they will finally just give in and give it to you.

As for anything that's actually effective, that's left up to you and being a former addict, really puts you in a bad position. Instead of relapsing on H, try taking some OTC pain meds, like tylenol or naproxen (might worsen your stomach issues though) and see if they do actually help, sometimes they do work for pain. If that doesn't help, i'd just try to get some tramadol or something weak as you don't want to end up with a big addiction from this. Opiates aren't always the answer for pain but i understand your frustration of being in extreme pain and getting no help whatsoever. I've been so frustrated and angry at the ER, so many times i can't count. Maybe smoking a bit of cannabis would actually help as it is a stomach issue.

good luck with your treatment, hopefully it's not something severe and try not to use this as an excuse to slip into drug addiction again, although i do understand why it is a suitable reason.

Maybe IBS? I know I often have sharp pains in my stomach but generally they're pretty mild but every now and then the pain is really bad, dicyclomine has been great for relieving it.

The healthcare system in America is crude at best, I agree. But if you're trying to take drugs to get high and it stopped you then its certainly keeping you safe relative to our laws.

As painful as your situation is, you cannot expect to be given heavy-duty painkillers from hospital staff for a sore stomach.
Like Insane_butt mentioned, there are a lot of drug addicts looking to score at hospitals..
It would be insane for them to simply hand over some oc40 tablets, especially for symptoms like yours. Well, that is how it is where I am from anyway.

Quote: Gotta go relapse - You do not need to go and relapse.
You need to go and see a doctor or local GP. If there are none available, and you are still in severe pain, you need to take yourself back to the hospital and get more medical attention.
Pick up a box of painkillers from the shop on your way there if you must.
Taking this problem to streets will not end nicely for you..
Your extremely painful stomach is clearly telling you something vital, that you need professional help/advice.
It's not grumbling at you to go score.
