My tax dollars are paying for people currently on welfare and Obamacare is raising the price of healthcare, so they actually have done those things.

I surely don't around internet forums. People lie frequently and fabricate "evidence" to support their argument. Only you know the truth about your own personal situation. I was simply using your perceived identity to make the point that anyone who evades taxes has no ground to stand on while arguing against taxation. That's all.

Taxation is theft, the government taking people's money by force. The government shouldn't be taking a chunk out of anybody's annual income in the first place and tax evaders are just trying to keep their money. Everybody should be taking a stand against taxation imo.

You can't really consider yourself an informed individual if you get your information from any kind of corporate news source. Although, I would argue that Fox's long-standing conservative bias is more apparent on a day-to-day basis than the liberal leanings of MSNBC.
Yeah, cease taxation. That'll solve all of our economic problems...

They're about the same, but MSNBC is more annoying with trying to make the right out to be the devil on every fucking show.

Federal income taxes + state income taxes + property taxes + sales taxes adds up to about half give or take.

I've heard this argument many times before. Well in this country, our democratically elected officials have created tax laws which we all must abide by or else risk prosecution. Until either your opinion supersedes law, or the laws themselves change, maybe you should consider moving to one of these countries:

Property tax and sales tax are on consumption of non-necessities, so these don't fall into the same category.
I've already debunked the myth about 50% taxation a long time ago......, but I can't find the thread in the archives. Only few scenarios come anywhere close, and they all require ordinary income well over 350k, no capital gains, and no deductions.......which we all know is highly unlikely for someone at this income level.
And I highly doubt that someone making this kind of money would spend their time on BL.......unless they were fed from the silver spoon. (with the exception of xtcxtc

Taxation itself was never the problem in the War for Independence that so many stingy type conservatives love to bring up. It was taxation without representation, i.e. the then gov't biz unfairly fucking people by forcing them to pay without giving a return. I don't mind paying what tax I can so the government can raise money to maintain roads, provide safety nets (you never know when you might fall), and for military self defense etc., but when it goes to far it does suck. I don't feel very represented when I'm taxed for a "war on terror" but I'm also aware that if I was to solely rely on a private enterprise to provide needed services I am able to get fucked just as easily. There isn't always enough competition to make things fair, nor would it always be favorable in certain enterprises.
Just as said in V for Vendetta "It's the people themselves" who are responsible for allowing themselves to get raped this badly because they were scared of scary turbaned middle easterners who supposedly scream the "rebel yell" and blow themselves up.
