I have been unable to find much information regarding possible interactions between active ingredients of amanita muscaria mushrooms (ibotenic acid / musicimol) and pregabalin. Pregabalin elevates levels of GABA and muscimol is a GABAa receptor agonist yet I'm unsure if this would be something to worry about. The only thing I can think of is the long-term pregabalin use could have downregulated GABA receptors.

If anyone has some insight or advice I would greatly appreciate it.

not sure about interactions but you might want to recheck your pharmacology of pregabalin - it's no GABAa agonist.:\

pregabalin aint have affinity to GABA receptors so theres no way ur GABA receptors downregulated. if i were u i wouldnt mix those two just in case.

i think it will b a beneficial combo if anything as pregabalin is glutaminergic antagonist which might block some of he toxic effects of ibotenic acid which is an agonist and it will also probly potentiate the gabaergic effects of the muscimol so u'd get higher w/less side fx

sounds like some experimenting is in order. i volunteer to be the guinea pig

i can see the potential for odd interactions. if you do proceed please start with sub-active doses of each and work up from there there.

i've used with alcohol and pot together. They all feel in the same realm.

They enhance each other, amanitas and alcohol . And cause hangover
