am i the only one with a dysfunctional family?

well theres no way in hell that my family would ever make it on a wheaties box. since i was a kid my family's had problems. a lot of shit that isn't normal. there's a lot of "hush hush" in my family because of other family members.
i always thought that a family is supposed to be there no matter what, but thats the opposite here. just because i made a few bad decisions it really made my family more dysfunctional.
alcoholism and drug addiction runs deep in my blood, from wayyy back during the civil war and even before that. i found out recently that my great x8 grandfather was a serial killer and since then its fucked the family up.
they call my grandparents place out in the country the "funny farm" for a reason, my uncle, aunt, and grand mother are all schizophrenic, and are really fucked up in the head, like the people that argue at tree's and shout at the light in the fridge.
theres a lot of fucked up skeletons in my family history that makes my family dysfunctional.
am i the only one with a dysfunctional family?

I used to know a girl who's Dad left her Mum, for her older sister (his other daughter) Turned out her grandmother and grandfather where also closely related...

She committed suicide when she was 20 with an intentional OD

Lol true that, believe it or not thats how it usually all starts.
Ya my familys F'd too, crazys junkies, alchys... but what ya gonna do just gotta keep your self happy...hopefully without drugs.. but what can i say

gotta have a sense of humor if anything.

experimentation is what living and learning is about, in its most pure form i do believe, but deep addiction usually has an anchor or three somewhere.

I think you'd be hard-pressed to find any family that isn't slightly dysfunctional- a truly "perfect" family might make me worry a bit.
