I am a Tramadol user, and there's a lot of speculation about how CYP6D2 converts the Tramadol into the wanted M1.
From what I understand, there are inhibitors, detractors and inducers of CYP6D2. We want to avoid the first two, but what about the inducers? Could it be advantageous to drink alcohol before or when on Tramadol, since ethanol is a CYP6D2 inducer?
Or is all of this just theoretical, without any real significance?
EDIT: It's CYP2D6. Sorry for the typo.
