About a year ago I got back surgery, five months after surgery Im getting bad lower back pain around the area of operation. I got tramdol and valium in the beginning , but I currently don't have any prescriptions for the pain what should I do? The pain is off and on Im uncomfortable about getting a prescription because your supposed to abide by a shedule. Could I get one?

We're not allowed to tell you how to get a prescription here but if you really are in pain I would suggest going to see your doctor or a pain specialist. Most likely because you were on medication before for this same injury they might give you some type of medication to help you. Since the pain is off and on they might give you a small script of something for breakthrough pain as long as you don't abuse it and ask for more.

I would say you are eligible for a prescription if you are indeed suffering from chronic pain, but like Kenny7822 said we can't tell you how to get one. If your need is legitimate you shouldn't have any problem going to see a doctor and explaining the situation, as there is no need to lie.

You definetley sound like a candidtate for a legitamate pain killer presecription... I mean, that's why they give them out.. for people in exactly your situation. Got to a doctor, explain your situation and level of pain..and I'm pretty confident you'll walk away with something.

Its just that its my first time with surgery. I don't know which doctor I should to talk about it, The neurosurgeon I go and see every six months, and then theres my pediatric care doctor.

Either doctor should be able to help you if you have a legitimate pain problem and are 100% honest about your issues....your mention of a pediatric doctor makes me think you may be rather young....please make sure that you have exhausted all other options (don't know what exactly your problem is so can't recommend anything) before going down the opiate road. Physical therapy, massage, exercise, injections, all that just for your own sake and for the sake of your developing mind....
