I understand how certain drugs can slow down ur metabolism and cause your body to not burn as much fat as it would before. I'm wondering if anyone has been successful in avoiding any weight gain after Becoming sober and what did you do? (Besides exercise cuz that's already on the list)

Eat less, and exercise, your body will soon adjust to stimulants..

This topic always gets quickly overcomplicated. Given your activity level, you have an amount of calories that you can eat everyday and not gain or lose weight. This is called your caloric equilibrium. Trial and error is how you figure it out. Anyway, to not gain weight, you consistently eat at (or under) your equilibrium. You have to count calories if you are serious about this. It will take ten minutes per day max. There are also strategies to raise your caloric equilibrium (adding cardio, meal timing, reverse dieting, etc).
