Stimulants adderall withdrawal...

Yep, that is the best reply i have seen. For me, 100% accurate. I would equate On Point with much dizziness, sweating, pissing out of my ass, etc...But it is not life threatening, it just sucks.

YEP.This seems to be the consensus. You don't give a shit and are glued to the couch. No motivation for what you loved 1 day ago when you still had the drug.

i would just not focus as well, and maybe get a little depressed for a few days. sometimes i would get the shakes, but they would be short-lived and not very intense, at least compared to the bigger, badder stimulants like coke or meth. I find smoking weed helps, but adderall with weed daily can be a nasty thing, leading to psychosis or general anxiety/paranoia

anyone else feel groggy, un motivated and REALLY depressed for days after stopping adderall? what helps?

I would say most people do, if they've used it in sufficient amounts to develop a considerable dependence.

Those are the worst withdrawal symptoms of amphetamine - mostly psychological (although tiredness/grogginess, general lack of energy and focus is also physical). You feel as though you don't have the willpower to get things done sober; that when you do muster up the can-do, you lack the energy to carry on for long; that when you fail, you take your shortcomings much more heavily. Those feelings make it incredibly hard to justify any alternative other than lying in bed or taking speed - "What's the point? I'm useless without it, and with just a pill/line I'd basically have superpowers again."

The symptoms are really quite hard to avoid. Grogginess can be slightly offset with mild stimulants like caffeine, but I wouldn't use anything much stronger - that's trading an addiction for another one. Caffeine is addictive, too, but I would consider switching from amphetamines to coffee a pretty clear victory. Other than that, it's just something you may have to soldier through. I've got one general guideline, which applies somewhat to all three: if possible, take time off from mentally or physically engaging tasks that carry responsibility and pressure - the two obvious big ones being work and studying. Counteract depression and lack of motivation by doing whatever you feel like doing. Smoke lots of weed if you like it - it's been a lifesaver for me. It's even better if you can make that whatever something that involves socializing and leaving your home, 'cause you get a feeling of having got stuff done instead of being holed up in your room.

It's really a matter of making life without amps tolerable and pleasant so you feel you don't NEED the Adderall. Best of luck, many of us have been down that road and it's no cakewalk.

if you can get your hands on it, injectable hCG completely reverses amp withdrawal

What doses are used for this? How long does it take to reverse the withdrawal symptoms? I know this is an old post, but I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else.

Sounds like complete bullshit anyway. If there was a thing you could just inject once and completely get rid of psychological withdrawal caused by amphetamine cessation, don't you think thousands of bluelighters would already know about it and use it..?

Judging from how deep changes stimulants do in our brains, I'm sure there will NEVER exist a substance that you could just take and feel exactly 100% normal and healthy as you did before you started using amps.

All the posts above me are true, I also suffered from depression and extreme overeating and oversleeping every time I stopped using some euphoric stim (in my cases, they were meth or 4-fa or 4-mmc) but it's always manageable, unlike quitting opiates/benzos/booze. For the 1531113578th time: if you want to break stimulant habit, just do all the fucking normal things that non addicted and healthy people do: sleep, eat, drink, socialize, train your body&mind, release sexual energy. No substance, not even weed is going to help more than these normal things.

Unless your stimulant of choice causes actual physical addiction as well, but I can't really think of any. All the stim RCs and classic semi/illegal ones are about mental cravings.

You're not alone bro, amphetamine withdrawal is a bitch. Nothing is gonna heal it except time. I start to feel like I'm returning to reality after 4 days sober. Don't feel bad you're not responding to your text messages. Don't feel bad the only time you're motivated to move around is when you're going to the fridge. Don't feel bad your entire world view is warped and you're feeling cynical about everything. It's just temporary and it will pass. Go to school/work, put in the minimal amount of effort required to get by, go home, eat, eat, eat, lay in bed, and just ride it out.

Thank you!

I'm glad this thread got bumped -- I have been putting off quitting for a while now because every time I do I feel like absolute shit for 2-7 days, and then I go back on the meat grinder again. I'm worried I shit my qi (chi) out somewhere in this cycle of burning the candle at both ends, but I guess I'm not the only one. Good luck to you all.

LOL you're left cleaning up the party! ALONE! Before the parents arrive back in town. Sounds soooo familiar, good times though right?
