I am so happy to hear all this, effie! It sounds like you have taken very bold steps to get back on track--I know how hard each one must've been, from letting your parents help clean to setting up meetings with friends--and you are doing it all at once. Bravo! I am so relieved to hear that your job is going well. I know how hard you worked to get there and how much was at stake. You are cut out to be one of the best psychiatrists in England! Everything that you have been experiencing with the drugs will only serve to deepen your understanding and empathy. Were it that more doctors had that window into the complex reality of people's relationship with drugs.

Immigrate to a new country.that's what I did and I'm a lot cleaner now. I smoke like one cig a day. Codeine a couple times a month. Weed a couple times a year. Acid once last year. Same with E. rarely drink alcohol. Used to shoot dope ten times a day
