5-MeO-DIPT and AMT up for scheduling

Originally posted by mnmguy:

I find it incredible used in low doses, in a social situation. I am somewhat shy at parties and I enjoy the confidence boost given to me by 5-MeO-DiPT, without the poor judgement caused by other confidence boosters such as alcohol or cocaine. When I am on foxy it is much easier for me to start conversations with total strangers, and not appear like an idiot doing it.
It is also quite a spectacular aphrodisiac (for some people), although not everyone gets this effect. No, it is not profound material, and the visuals are not that interesting. But 8mg snorted + some beer + some weed makes for a wicked night out for me and my friends. The lack of hangover the next day is also a bonus.

Have you tried 4-aco-dipt?? Or 2c-i?? I find them much better than foxy for this type of social use you describe above. My wife even gets a 'contact high' when I do either of these around her, kinda like pikhal's 0 mg report for 2c-i.

I've only heard one horror story about AMT - and that was when someone snorted a rail of it thinking it was coke (not that he bothered to ask or even smell the stuff first). My experiences have all been good (eating 66mg, 30mg, 20mg, and smoking 2mg and 5mg), and I'll be sad to see it go.
Foxy on the other hand has never made me feel anything other than terrible. I remember describing the experience as "I feel like my soul is dying." I was certainly one who spent more time on the toilet than anywhere else.
---------------------------------------------
The illegality of drugs would not bother me so much if they would also make alcohol and cigarettes illegal. Afterall, cigarettes are just as addictive as coke, and alcohol is far more deadly than psychoactives.
If you read the report on AMT and 5-MEO-DiPT, you'd see that lawmakers believe these drugs pose an "imminent risk to the public safety." Can anyone tell me what they really mean by this?

Different strokes for different folks. For instance I don't know what the fuck people find appealing in cocaine having recently tried it. I think psychedelics are even more in the category of subjective experience. I've never had any insightful experiences on heavy doses of shrooms. I just get incredibly giggly and everything looks excessively hilarious. Tryptamines are the same way, i've had both DIPT and AMT and DIPT reacts differently with different people. AMT tends to be more "universal" but causes nausea in some people. Whereas DIPT just feels...different in most individuals. I think the reason why DIPT has a reputation as a sexual enhancer is because it brings out latent sexual feelings in some people who are more repressed about it. IF you're already a sexually open person then it doesn't have that tremendous effect. At least it's not like meth where you want to bone someone for 5 days straight once you're on the peak.

Are you talking about DiPT or 5-MeO-DiPT? They are two totally different drugs and you should get it right to avoid further confusion.

this post is rambling and has lost focus. anyone have any input about the topic at hand? i feel that although it was inevitable that it happen, we are all to blame to a certain extent. its odd, IT-290 has been around for a long time you know.

SCHEDULING DRUGS IS AS ASSININE AS BANNING BOOKS!
The only War is the War of Ideas/the War ON Ideas.
Fuck you conservative assholes and submissive proletariats who allow their perspectives to be LAW!

>Yes, but President Bush hasn't. The current
>administration is particularly fanatical about
>closing the loopholes that one might use to
>cop a buzz.
Oh for fucks sake, don't bring Bush into this. The current administration has nothing to do with the scheduling of these drugs and it was absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for of you to turn this into a political thing.
For the record, president Clinton (a typically hypocritical democrat as they usually are) passed more drug legislation than any other president in our time, and though I don't have numbers handy, the amount of individuals sent to jail for non-violent drug offenses (a significant number for marijuana) went up DRAMATICLY during his eight years. More so than under any other administration. Even more so than when Regan created the mandatory minimum laws. Go to www.norml.org to see these figures for yourself.
So stop with your anti-republican/anti-Bush bullshit, which seems to be nothing more than the trendy thing to be these days. Not in this forum.

Yeah, and liberals never do that with their socialistic programs. They aren't guilty of that, no way.
This thread has lost its focus and it is now history.
