Hi, after searching through post after post, I can not seem to find an reliable data on the solubility of 4-ho-dipt. I have seen it mentioned a few times, but the posts always seem to veer off in a discussion of either 4-aco-mipt or the like, or else on the 2c-x series. If anyone has any reliable data about the solubility of 4-ho-dipt in either water of an alcohol such as everclear or another high proof vodka. In addition, does anyone have any information about the storage of this chemical? can it be kept in water? alcohol? should it be evap'd out and stored as powder? Thanks in advance!

i hate to do this but maybe it will help.

4 ho/aco mipt are known to turn the solution brown after a few hours. And also it degrades quick. I found it best to keep it in the powder form in the freezer inside a vial.

Sorry i cant help you with 4 ho dipt but i have a feeling its stability in a solution is very similar to mipt.

It's not very soluble in water at all. 10mg will not dissolve in 1.5mL of water. This, I have tried. Hardly any of it dissolved even with intense shaking. Optimal storage is in an amber glass vial with oxygen absorber and silica placed in a freezer. Look in vitamin jars for the oxygen and moisture absorbing beads.

Fascinating stuff, I hope you enjoy it =)

Did you eventually find a way to get it dissolved? Will alcohol work? what about a larger volume of water. I was planning on a final concentration of 1mg/ml, or possibly attempting to get 2.5mg/ml. Will this work? also, how easy will it be to evap the remaining product out of solution? Should I look towards a drying agent? if so, any easy way to obtain one? Thanks!

I think you missed the part about the unstability of 4-Ho-DiPT. It is much more likely to turn into a black goo if it is disolved into EtOH, or H2O. It is best to store it dry, in a vial, and the just take out what you need each time.

^^No, I wasn't planning on storing it in solution... see, i was planning on using a volumetric measurement method. I wanted to dissolve it, measure, then evap back out of solution to obtain solid again. So, in light of that, any suggestions as to a solvent in which this chemical has good solubility?
