3rd Annual Showcase - "The 2am Project 2k2"- 11/09/02 Springfield, MA

luis rosario was off the hook...it was just too bad he ended up reusing some records at some point. i guess someone just didnt show or something. He was on for a little over 2 hours.

yeah, i ran into him at the end and he said his set got extended for that very reason. he played in b-town this summer and ended up crashing at my place. i have a funny picture of him asleep on my couch sitting upright with his mouth open and his head lolled to the side. that was a crazy night, but i probably shouldn't get into the details, lol.

Ahhh! Just what I was waiting to hear. I knew someone was gonna post about these two. J-Splat is the man!
If I could've been two persons, I would've been at the Asylum just for that set, and the other me would be at Aria in Montreal....
On second thought, I think both of me would much rather be at Aria in Montreal. err something like that....LOL
(sorry guys, still recovering from a SUPER wild weekend.)

aria's the only big club i have yet to check out in montreal. who played and how was it? do they have a good soundsystem? i gotta get up there soon...

I just thought I would put my opinion in... And that is that Saturday night was just great. I can't speak for anyone else but I know I had a lot of fun, and even though it is somewhat of a hike, going to Mass was definitely worth it for me this weekend. I thought the music was excellent, the crowd (although not large which was awesome for dancing room) was friendly, and the whole night was seriously so much fun. Too bad those Asylum parties don't go later though, I could have stayed another 2 hours. Plus, damn there were some good dancers there. And no snobby hierarchy of who can't dance in whose circles like there is in NY... Thanks everyone for a fun time! Hopefully I will be back soon. :)

i'm getting kinda bored of the asylum. it's where my first party was, and where i met a fantabulous boy, but the same 15 djs over and over again, and the same people over and over again... not that i don't love all my fellow bluelighters, but the same faces e-puddling over and over and over is getting kinda annoying.
but i had fun... it took me a little while to find my groove and start dancing, mostly cuz i'm not a big fan of breaks.
and connel, stop humping my boyfriend thankyouverymuch, that's MY job! ;)

AWESOME, Afas. :)
Why is it that the 2am parties seem to have a better vibe than most Asylum parties? [/rhetorical]
Jubzie, the sound system at aria is INCREDIBLE. The entire set up of the place is unlike anything I've ever experienced.
The DJ we listened to was Yaz, a resident dj there who happened to spin some incredibly "JUICY" house. (best way I can describe it)
You can find the likes of Joey Beltram, Christian Smith, Misstress Barbara (another resident), Dave Clark, Carl Cox, Marco Corola, Richie Hawtin, Oliver Lieb etc. headlining here on any given weekend.

freekah: that's good to hear, i'll check it out next time i'm up there. i don't really like the residents at stereo or sona, it's good to hear that yaz can throw down some nice house.
theravetoy, hehe word, i live a little over an hour south of montreal, it's dope. i saw marco carola not too long ago at sona, he KILLED IT. they definitely get unbelievable talent at the clubs. if anyone ever wants to go up there email me and i'll give ya some handy tips that might help you have fun in montreal...

well teddy, first and foremost, there will be no stealing of lauren allowed
and second, luis rosario kicked major ass, knowledge and mixin marc were unbelievable, and adam x, was well, adam mothafuckin x, insane.
but i left after that, i was tired, those were the sets i saw

yeah teddy...exactly what Kev said. All of those djs were just pumping for their whole sets. And check your email when you get the chance. peace

Teddy, Jayphonic rocked it! Thing that sucked though, he was on the same time Jes One and J Splat were on. Jay was on in the front, and they were on in the back. He was supposed to tag with some disco kid, but that didn't last long. I think Disco kid was "sick" so he got off the stage after a few minutes. Dirty ol' Frank took his place for a lil bit. But it was mostly Jay. If was fun seeing the ol' Volume crew back together for a lil bit (tears, heheh). For those that missed Jay, you must not sleep on this kid. If you wanna see him again, you can check him out weekly at Digital Soul in Providence, RI on Sunday nights at the Century Lounge.

hey kevin, you're droolin over AB's boobs and tellin BL girls to shake thier asses for you in the badonakadonk thread, so teddy can too steal me away! ;) brat.
and marco carola rocked my goddamn world at boo... i wanna see him again!! canada is sounding kinda tempting :D
