21 million mobile users "vanish"

I hadnt heard any media outlet using anything with SARS besides when comparing data against MIRS and SARS, and so... Im not a genius or savant, but Sars-cov-2 "causes" Covid19? How does it cause it when they both are in the Genus Corona? Covid19 isnt a disease, its a virus just a dif mutated species of that Genus? So what does sars2cock do that it then allows for covid19 to propagate, bringing a different set of symptoms than SARS? You guys should spend 15 minutes and research "hongkong flu" a pandemic most arent aware ever happend.

I watched a very informative documentary on mr bill fakes n his very open belief on ehaehat is needed to t allow humanity to continue to . ignore the childosh intro. Deffinitly strongly urge you all yo watch

COVID-19 is not a virus in the coronavirus family.

Are you getting confused with what SARS-CoV-2 was called early on, nCoV2019 or 2019-nCoV?

SARS-CoV was the SARS virus.
MERS-CoV was the MERS virus.
And SARS-CoV-2 is the novel coronavirus responsible for this pandemic.

All three of them are in the human coronavirus family.

There are four other viruses in the human coronavirus family that cause up to 1/3 of all common colds.

  1. 229E (alpha coronavirus)
  2. NL63 (alpha coronavirus)
  3. OC43 (beta coronavirus)
  4. HKU1 (beta coronavirus)

Would you say the common cold is in the coronavirus family?

Covid19 isnt a disease, its a virus just a dif mutated species of that Genus

You realize what the "D" in COVID-19 stands for right?

Man I wish I could get my doctors to just do whatever I tell them too.

Come to Harley Street in London, just make sure to bring a few grand with you first.

As for the OP this is definitely a very strange thing and no doubt China is always up to something shady, but this is very much a "correlation is not causation" thing imo.

The dual SIM thing @thujone mentioned is very important. Pretty much every single phone sold in China is dual SIM, previously the only exception was iPhones but since the iPhone XS the Chinese models contain two SIM slots. Dual SIM phones have been the norm in China and other Asian markets long before they began selling them to the West fairly recently. I mean 10 years ago, basically every phone in China was still dual SIM. Big companies like Samsung made dual SIM phones purely for those markets, the biggest of which by far is China, and are now beginning to sell them across the world as Samsung's Chinese competitors have popularised them in other countries too (my Samsung Galaxy is dual SIM).

This is alien to most American consumers because the carriers control the market and want to sell you a locked down phone so of course they do not want you using two SIMs, but in most of the world it is the opposite and unlocked phones rather than phones purchased on a subsidised contract are the norm.

My point in saying this is that one SIM does not equal one person in China. It is a safer assumption that each person has two SIM cards. So let's say we assume everyone in these figures died because 20 million phone users dropped off. The true number is likely to be closer to 10 million.

Then you have the businesspeople who travel around a lot. Someone who lives in the US but travels to China for business could have either a dual SIM phone or two separate phones, one with a US SIM and one with a Chinese SIM. Well they won't have been using that Chinese SIM in the past few months would they? And odds are they also use a SIM without minimum spend because obviously they are probably not in China every month.

To be clear I am not saying there's definitely nothing fishy going on. It is the CCP we're talking about, they absolutely have been lying about their COVID numbers and we know they covered it up and silenced doctors (some of whom mysteriously died) for about a month before informing the WHO. The WHO then told everyone that COVID cannot be passed through human contact despite evidence to the contrary.

The fact the CCP suddenly want to "simplify phone plans" right after this data was leaked is very suspicious too. Clearly they are trying to hide something. I'd be interested to look at the data for myself though.

P.S. Can't help but find it amusing the Chinese guy they interview here calls it the "CCP virus" with no problem, but in the West anyone calling it the "Wuhan virus" is apparently an evil racist. The 50 Cent Party have done a good job on that one.

I don't want a second wave to go through !!!

The first wave was bad enough.
I mean bad enough 😉. 19.

I fear.

Regardless it will happen anyway, maybe not Pretzel but his cousin and that's like wow. These fuckn weapon researchers investor should give money to space agencies instead of destroying the planet, a big fuckin spot of shame on your ass, similar to bull inkin. You never know what happens behind the curtains

there's no reason to suspect foul play on this. for one, credit accounts don't just suddenly go kaput the instant your heart stops. and two, having secondary numbers for business or just to avoid roaming or long-distance charges is normal today. hell, it's tough to even find a phone now that doesn't come with dual SIM slots just for this purpose.

130 million people travel hundreds of miles every year from the hinterlands to the urban centres of China for work, it's not unreasonable to assume most of them have two mobile accounts and that a number of them are affected by the lockdowns to the extent that they won't need that second account, either because they lost their job or because they can't travel to where they need it

What? That's why dual-sim phones were invented, CIA's not trackin you down, breath.

pledged 2 billion dollars over two years
Wut?
2B is nothing these days... specially when one factors in GDP and time-span. What... ~84M a month? If my math is anywhere in the "real" zone. Not much, IMO, considering US unemployment paid out ~48B in April....
It's all fake news, I say.
=D

Although that's true, that's severely taking out of context the situation. China isn't the only country that contributes to the WHO, so 2 billion dollars over two years (in addition to their normal contribution) from one country is a huge amount proportional to what other countries contribute. Context matters.

There's always the debate of China's disastrous response, though, should have led to more than 2 billion. With that, I tend to agree - the question is how much, really, would be enough?
