JFC...20 years is a lifetime. I travel to Portugal every year to work at a music festival -most of my colleagues are from EU or UK. I've talked about my student loans (as this year was the first year I was free of them upon going) and the conversation has always gone 'wait you have to pay for college? Me: actually most of this is from Grad School Them "YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR GRAD SCHOOL? WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?"

I hope you can get forgiven... you've got 5 years left correct? It can feel like an albatross at times I'm sure.

I'm less familiar with the other paths to forgiveness since I went all in on Public Service Loan Forgiveness when I applied to my MSW/MPH program. It was the only way to be able to afford it. I went back at 28 (after spending most of my 20s strung out on heroin), so I wanted to get through as quickly as possible so I could get out from it as quickly as possible.
