2024 US Presidential Election

Someone who is Indian and black can talk about being black one day and Indian the next, nobody changed anything

Black people can also be racist
They will still vote the way they want. Should have I called them a racist. maybe punched them for being a NAZI? LOL ... Is that what is required now to be a real Democrat?
Nope I just smiled . I'm not here to win the internet and I don't tell my friends how to think.

A white male calling black people racist is problematic.

No GIF by Becky G

Most of those who said that are Black themselves, so um nice try with that first victim card !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Um, she claimed to be Indian then Black. They are concerned about the way she changes her race, like most people change their underwear.
Will she claim to be Native American next? Not entirely impossible.
So, this is the new, improved, "Pocahontas"?
Aren't we not focusing on issues? Real issues, affecting America.
This is weird! Sorry. Pick your word. It's... "strange".
We're sitting around talking about whether Kamala Harris said she was black enough times.

(sigh)
Below is wordy:
"Harris graduated in 1986 from Howard University, a historically Black institution where she was a member of a historically Black sorority. After that, she was elected president of the association of Black law students in her second year at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, she wrote in her 2019 memoir.

Politico reported in 2021 that, as a third-year student at the law school in 1989, Harris rose to speak against anti-Black racism at a campus demonstration prompted by the discovery of racist vandalism. Politico reported: “For Black students, she said, according to archives of the Hastings Law News, the cartoon was an example of ‘what we deal with all the time.’”

A profile of Harris in the publication AsianWeek in 2003, when she was running for San Francisco district attorney, was focused on her South Asian heritage. But it quoted Harris discussing her father as “a Black man” and saying, “I grew up with a strong Indian culture, and I was raised in a Black community. All my friends were Black and we got together and cooked Indian food and painted henna on our hands, and I never felt uncomfortable with my cultural background.”

Harris’ official online biography in 2005 as San Francisco district attorney referred to her as “the first African American woman in California to hold the office” and noted that she had attended “America’s oldest black university.” She wrote in a 2009 book about her childhood trips to both India and Jamaica, where, she wrote, “my father and uncles would talk to us about the complicated struggles of the people of Jamaica - the history of slavery, colonialism, and immigration.”

Her official online biography as California attorney general referred to her as “the first African American woman and South Asian American woman in California to hold the office” of San Francisco district attorney. In 2017, her first year as a US senator for California, she spoke about how she was “the second Black woman elected to the United States Senate.”

Harris wrote in the 2019 memoir about how her mother’s family instilled her and her sister Maya with “pride in our South Asian roots,” but also that “my mother understood very well that she was raising two black daughters. She knew that her adopted homeland would see Maya and me as black girls, and she was determined to make sure we would grow into confident, proud black women.”

Harris said in another 2017 speech: “Look at my own life, where a daughter of a South Asian mother and a Jamaican father concluded her own interfaith wedding with her husband breaking a glass and everyone yelling, ‘Mazel tov.’”"

I just find it amusing that because of rare instances of men competing as women, suddenly these MAGA types act like they give a shit about women's sports.
I also find it odd that they insist that drag queens (whom they accuse of being groomers) use the same restrooms that their little boys use, not their little girls.
Also just the idea that someone should be checking birth certificates at public restrooms.

But ask yourself what are the odds of so many media outlets choosing to use the same exact "weird" phrase out of the blue without them reading it off the "new speak point list"
They don't even try to hide it any more. It's the same in the UK. The contempt this demonstrates towards to the public is unreal. They actually believe people are too stupid to notice such things.

Hmm, the rambling opinion of a 77 year old reality show host who is also a criminal (spent 5 days in jail for contempt of court).
I do encourage everyone to watch the video aal the way through. He's kinda... what word am I looking for... "different?"

He says Harris ain't black, too. Wants her dad to produce a birth certificate. "Different".

In overusing "weird," the Left is finally resorting to the name-calling that the Right has been doing all along with "woke" and "cancel culture."
(edit) Before that, it was "political correctness" and let's not forget the perennial "War on Christmas."

But, if you consider that it's true, it's really not different than calling Trump a "felon".

Ya gotta admit, "She ain't black." is a little strange.
Not even sure what her genetics are. It doesn't matter. I think she may have experienced prejudice in her life. She certainly is now.
As usual, closer examination causes one to shake their head at the twisted mental gymnastics required to produce the sound bite/talking point/tactic and people don't normally do so until somehow prompted to.

So, what's a mother to do?

well you're trying to compare her to Trump to ppl who you think might be voting that way

that's not the case - they both suck - just in there own way

No not really

Harris is out there - and her past has been a little too far left for me, although now, they're claiming she's a moderate - but the Dems lie big time nowadays
I don't love the Dems. They certainly slant the truth and tell half truths as politicians have always done. Trump lies through his teeth as a habit and is well known for it.

Harris is steering to the middle, again as politicians have always done. Trump is going more authoritarian.
I'll take the one steering to the middle, thank you.

Politics as usual is refreshing at the mo'. Better than the senile, creepy, uncle left.

One real big difference is that, if you pick Trump you might not be able to make a pick in four years. The Dems are the party of choice in more ways than one.
