2024 US Presidential Election

@-=SS=- - too long winded? Perhaps you could just respond to the following 3 sentiments?
I'm not really interested in discussing wokeness, I just posted that meme to put a bit of sand in alasdairs vagina to be honest.
Could you define the parameters of that fantasy land, and provide examples in support of your mirror analogy?
I see people like you all over social media, where Trump is like the plot of the film Armageddon, a big fucking orange asteroid on a collision course with civilization. It's obvious to any non-American looking at the situation. Like you're fucking whinging about fascism or some other bullshit but fail to recognize that you already are a fascist state in all but name (the UK is too), and have been for at least two decades.

The only real difference between the political 'mirror images' is that the left-wing lost its balls about 15 years ago, whereas the right-wing is far more inclined to call out the bullshit at the heart of the system - I'm not saying right is better, before you lose your shit. The left-wing got co-opted by the state and the youth, who've grown up completely inside this digital propaganda system, have never seen beyond it and so think the cause of their malaise is their right-wing counterparts (or Trump). 20 years ago the left-wing was very concerned about things that actually matter, like totalitarian legislation, spying, etc, but now perversely the left is actually championing those things if it means they can score points against Trump/right-wing people! The 'govern me harder' meme exists because of this. The left has become a parody of itself.

It's a fucking pantomime. Same shit in the UK. Trump or Biden, Labour or Tory, it makes absolutely no difference. The military industrial complex, the Royals, and the City of London/Wall Street, they are the ones calling the shots, and us plebs are too busy arguing over which coloured puppet we want to fuck us in the ass, whether all genders should use the same bathroom, or some other inane degenerate culture wars nonsense.

I'm not American but are you saying he's NOT a big orange asteroid on a collision course with civilization? That's wild.

With all due respect, project 2025 does sound like the start to a horror movie. The fact a racist rapist pedo is running for 'leader of the free world' is plenty scary! www.project2025info.com *Check the More Info button reason each claim is made* Also please know that Trump has directly asked people to donate to the "heritage fund" (evil uffers)....Now is turning around and saying he doesn't know about project 2025. 'dog your FUNDING IT how have you not heard of it?'

THAT IS SIMPLY NOT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LEFT AND RIGHT. I agree democrats have lost their balls; but they are not STRAIGHT EVIL? If Incompetent Vs Evil is the choice it seems quite obvious to anyone with common sense? Not rhetorical.

As it was pointed out to me about the UK there is indeed a GIANT difference. I felt the same away about the UK and someone posted a vid that was pretty informing. (if accurate, and I presume it is as a BL member posted it and noone disagreed strongly?) I don't even remember which side is good but as a person of Irish heritage it can't be the Tory's? Am I correct? Not rhetorical either.

Yes, the reverberating effects of slavery and Jim Crow ultimately have had a major impact on poverty and incarceration amongst black populations... obviously you can trace the root cause back to race.

But I don't believe the disparities that still exist right now are primarily due to race. I think because it just so happens that a larger density of non whites live in urban areas, and urban areas tend to produce more crime, that is not necessarily an indicator of systemic racism.

Also, systemic racism implies to me that governmental agencies actively discriminate (as a rule) based on race. While we might be able to point out many individual instances of this occurring, there are also many examples that would counteract that narrative...

We've had a very popular two term President who was black, who ascended to the very top of our government . We've currently have a female black vice president, who could very well become president. The Supreme Court is more diverse than it has ever been. There are national holidays, entire months of the year when the government recognizes historically marginalized people. There are endless government programs, grants, loans, etc specifically targeted towards said people.

If this were 1964 instead of 2024 , yes, no doubt we'd be living in a country full of systemic racism. But can you point to any specific policies, laws, statutes, governmental practices, etc that negatively impact minority races right now?

Fair response, I still disagree but you aren't deluded or anything. *edit* project 2025 plans to engage in DIRECT racism. Sorry the buttons dont work on the site, that was dissapointing; everyone wants a buck I guess (suprise)

I can trace it to race hence the 'racism' part. The truth is that I believe at this point the discrimination is more wealthy v impoverished. We both agree that blacks/mexicans/etc have been purposefully (by policy historically) impoverished?

So I guess it is a moot point if we agree so far?

Sure I can, lemme use the googler for a second... www.humanrightscareers.com/issues/examples-of-systemic-racism/

Do you agree with that website, did it thoroughly answer your question? I didn't look that hard at that Ill be honest but it seems applicable.

I think there are inequities among all different classes, races, genders, etc. I think the causes of those inequities are vast and cant fairly be attributed to any one thing.

A lot of sources these days tend to point to statistics like these and call it racism. I think that is really unfair and far too simplistic.

Here is a video that might be of interest. He's a black associate professor of linguistics at Columbia, so quite qualified to speak on this subject.

What a piss poor attempt. If your gonna try and assassinate someone use a fucking rifle. I dont rule out a false flag though. It looked like he was hit with a fucking air rifle anyway

from the west wing s02e02:

"There were 36 homicides last night. 480 sexual assaults, 3,411 robberies, 3,685 aggravated assaults, all at gunpoint. And if anyone thinks those crimes could have been prevented if the victims themselves had been carrying guns, I'd only remind you that the President of the United States himself was shot last night while surrounded by the best trained armed guards in the history of the world."
