2024 US Presidential Election

I was actually thinking about that yesterday. Internet illiteracy.

School kids these days... 45% of high school kids in my city are technically illiterate and do not have reading/writing comprehension at their grade level. That's up from like 10-20% when I was in highschool 20 years ago. Why? Because these kids grew up not actually having to learn anything, they just google it. They have apps like grammerly and spell check which coddle them into not learning how to spell 4 letter words. It's insane.

As the internet gets bigger, brains are literally getting smaller.

People no longer have to think for themselves, they just absorb 5 second 'factoids' from memes and youtube.

Aye! That is a good conspiracy theory too IMO. Soon encyclopedias and such will be deemed obsolete. You see libraries closing.

Like you said we don't have to learn anything its a google away. So at some point we stop and just use google (or the next thing) to gather any information. Than wham unplugged. A society full of illiterate uneducated fools with pockets full of money.

Every governments dream or nightmare?

No, those little bastards can spell fuck, shit, cunt, and a few other 4 letter words.
But yes the kids are getting dumber and barely literate. They can buy book reports on line or copy from various sources.
Their critical thinking skills are compromised, due to all this( I use duckduckgo) I hate Google.
All this self esteem bs. WTF, has your little punk ass done to think you are so special: Let me Google it, huh I need more social media, more internet friends.
I am older than you, but damn, we would have gone nuts if we had airsoft guns. Those plastic dart guns and water pistols are sad, compared to how much fun we would had with air soft guns.
The teenagers, at a hugh lousy apartment complex I lived in, would occasionally have a few beers, smoke a few joints and have bb gun shotouts.
I am not joking, these were not the best and brightest, but at least they had rules about no head shots and wore layers of clothing, dumbasses. Lol

I blame the people in charge, for screwing all these young kids up, and it is easier to brainwash an empty mind.

Many libraries are in the process of transitioning to being more electronic focused. I haven't seen any closing but they are working on obtaining and supporting more ebooks and electronic journal access over hard copies including having electronic hardware that users can check out

I have a massive book collection, I have no room for them. I can't throw them out, but many are inherited besides my own collection. Reading a real book, Is so much more satisfying than ebooks.
I need to get myself motivated to clean my house and use one of the unused bedrooms for a library, and turn the upstairs living room in to a billard room.
Wish I was not in bad shape energy wise.
One thing that scares me is, if there is ever a Napster type of book copying and authors can't make a living. Then what, lots of books that are outdated and no good, new non-fiction books.
Although it pissed me off in College that you had to buy these new edition text books that were just slightly altered every 2 years so your stuck spending a fortune on new textbooks, so the professors could keep raking in money.

Trying to jail your main political rival in the name of saving Democracy...with something from BEFORE the LAST election....that the FEC said was fine...but the Steele Dossier got Hillary fined by the FEC = no trial??? Good thing Democrats only read headlines and only from their assigned outlets.
Hes supposed to go to jail because he’s a lifelong criminal and rapist.

The trials have nothing to do with him being a rival to Biden

It’s not just written communication illiteracy.

My friend that’s taught grades 4 to 8 says they are not verbally developed either. Like talking to a 14 year old from today is like talking to a 10 year old from the 90s.

Since they are perpetually addicted to the phone and kids don’t really hang out together or “go out and play” anymore; verbal communication is really stunted he swears.

Like at lunch they are all just on their phones alone not talking to eachother much

I had an uncle who had the first publication of the complete collection of george elliot's works as well as a small library that was estimated at, actually I forget and dont have any reason to # drop but either tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars (I would think the former but idk) ... His whole life he collected and maintained these books. Than MI drove him out of the state (he was an alcoholic, first it was his license than his freedom for failing probation) and he ended up homeless in Kentucky and idk what happened but they are no more. (lol I gladly would have held them, I would like to think he sold them to stay alive as long as he could *RIP*).

I very much suspect foul play but when someone is homeless and an alcoholic; the police are pretty quick to slam the books and say 'he fell'. Those are some strange wounds for a fall? ...Them*Yawn* Yea who knows? basically. Sucks.

YOU CAN SKIP THIS PART YOU GAIN NOTHING.
My mother also had a heck of a collection of first publications, rare old books, EVERYTHING on a couple subjects *she actually corrected historians and some big name author ripped her "inference" off after kicking her off the forum (not him personally I suspect). It involves Yurofsky's guards not being the same as the palace guards in the Romanov massacre and how Anastasia Romanov ended up at the Popov (residence?) after the massacre. Yurofsky's guards were currently being repromanded for the atrocities (but more the thievery) that had just occurred and there was a moment the palace guards MAY OR MAY NOT have helped her. *see the palace guards were hired by the Romanov family not this Yurofsky guy whose guards were hired pretty much as a kill squad. (IF I UNDERSTAND CORRECTLY, SOMEONE EDUCATED HELP ME OUT IF I KICK THE DOG THERE)

All of those books and research were thrown away or stolen when we moved after my father passed. He had an incredible collection of books as well (mostly text books as he was a professor; but I still use a couple to this day!) and other than the ones I personaly protested they all got tossed.

But yea I would learn still.

We want to reclaim America at a basic constitutional level.
who is we?

Jnowhere - My pops was a professor and he always made sure to get 3 copies of the book for the kids that just don't buy it. He hated the campus bookstore as much as I did when I was paying 200 bucks for that BS... Allegedly I would literally show up at the classes I took the semester before with the books I paid 200 for and off em for like 50, as 50 is much less than 200 but I was basically a scalper I couldn't really negotiate much.

I wouldn't normally sink to such measures but the campus bookstore refuses to give you crap for em and the store in town that makes a living off of buying and flipping textbooks; I bring a stack of 6 in (all of last semesters) I see the book im selling under the case for $125 so Im thinkin cool. Dude offers me 12 bucks for all 6 books. I point out the obvious they laugh in my face. Fine competition fuckers.

Those prices on books are messed up though

Greenlighters^. Biden had nothing to do with Trump's downfall. He is a 34x convict and awaiting more. 11 contempt of court charges.

Now the GOP had ALOT to do with the way Hunter Biden's case went.

So what do you think about project 2025? Good like the patriot act?

This rascal debunks both sides of the news every single day. That's why he's labeled a racist and holocaust denier.

^ I bet my left arm that statement is not accurate. Anyone wanna wager a pinky on wolf's side. I figure vegas odds have it 1 human arm to 1 human pinky. lol.

Ions I got nothing against you guys. I mean no offense when I ask who is chase oliver and what the hell does he stand for? (dont worry im gunna vote democrat; even though it is stupid.) Stupid beats evil all day. But he (chase oliver) probably is a better candidate lol I could have won that debate when I was 12.
